Yeah I had two Buzz Rickson RW models one in 42 and one in 44. Sold the 44 to buy another BR. Regret doing it sometimes but do like the new BR too. Got too many jackets and just not enough time to wear them all. And don't get me started on watches.
Yup saw that one (and I really did not much like A-1s) and ordered one. I just freaked when I saw it. Man what a job. I am really liking my Doniger I got from John. It is just like my original.
I have had an original 422A, AN6552 and my current ANJ-3A all very similar. I have to say I like the ANJ-3A the best. Collar is smaller than the 422A and 6552 at least on the model I have. It is interesting the fit. The 422a was a bit strange in that it was tight in the shoulders, the 6552...
Buzz,
The Japanese site Milwakee http://www.mil-mil.net/top.html might be able to get one for you. You can email them and ask. They do ship overseas. He was able to get a large Buzz MA-11 for me.
I am getting a clone of my original Doniger. It is a very wearable jacket as are my other three originals. But wearing an original around everyday makes me a bit nervous. With the clone from Goodwear I can wear my fav jacket and not be nervous about messing it up. Looking at what Goodwear...
I wrote on the VJ forum about "Jenny Craig" and jackets. Amazing at the response I got. Nothing like ordering a 800 dollar plus jacket and then gaining weight and having it not fit. Sure is a good way to force one to cut back on the junk and stay in shape. Of course being in the Army forces...
Yes there is something about this goatskin that is just vintage looking. I compared it with my original Doniger goatskin and the comparsion was shocking. It looked so much like the 60 year old original that it was scary.
Lost out to you in the bidding but good to see it is going to someone who really appreciates these jackets. I have one same size with original patch and nametag and rank. Only mine went through depot at sometime and it got a coat of seal over the russet. They are great jackets. The goatskin...
All is I can say is yuck. Not having a one piece back is a sure way that this is a rotten copy of an A2. Somebody just made up that label from an original contract label. Here is what a good reproduction Doniger looks like done by John Chapman of Goodwear leather.
Agree with Bill on the sizing. I normally take a 42 in Repro A2s but I took a 38 in the Flight Suits. So they do run about 10 inches over the size so a 46 would be about 56 around. So probably a 46 should work. I would email them and ask. Make sure you have some measurements for them to...
I have an original A2 Roughwear size 44 and an Eastman A2 Roughwear size 42. The Eastman has more room in the shoulders and chest area than the original. I wear size 44 in all my original A2 jackets. In Eastman I have fit in size 42 in their Roughwear, Cable, Star, and Monarch.

This is a great jacket just starting to break in. Bought it new from HPA last year (just got it in Oct of 06). Hide is the trademark "Bronco hide" which means more graining etc. Has a standard reproduction crown zipper. I am 5' 10 175 and wear ELC A2s in size 42 and this fits perfectly...
