Sort-of bad Fedoration experience I got caught in a downpour while shopping, and the hat got soaked. Wild Root... I understand what you mean, and I realize that initially a fair vintage car isn't expensive. I've looked into it. The main problem is upkeep. New Car I've seen plenty of nice cars here. The old B&W, Powerhouse. I just bought a new car (my 2003 Monte Carlo lease was up). I can't handle the expense and responsibility of a vintage auto, but I got the next best thing... a new '06 Mustang! Complete with the Pony Package. Very nice...- Not-Bogart13

Ron Howard fedora
Don't think it's an Akubra It looks like a CEO with a higher crown, but the pinch looks hand-bashed to me. I wouldn't expect Howard to go custom, but who knows. Either way, it's a great step up from his usual ballcap-on-set look. Maybe he picked it up on location in France. NB- Not-Bogart13

Gray AB for sure! Riccardo, Go with the gray. Steve has a couple of grays, and I've seen samples. I prefer his medium gray, but he also has a dark one. You'd have to ask him about light gray, though. As for the Indy look, he does wear a gray hat in two or three scenes in the first...- Not-Bogart13

Miller, again! I don't know about Akubra's Fedora. The Fedoration is nice, but the brim might be wider than you'd want. So, I have to recommend Miller again. I agree with the straw idea Maybe a narrow brim? Not super stingy, but maybe 2 to 2 1/2 inches. Might I suggest a milan straw. I just got one from millerhats.com that I like, and they have a bunch of styles and colors. Even gray! NB- Not-Bogart13
