Doesn't the Northeaster jacket have Button Cuffs / with storm cuff? And I think it's a cloth lined leather cuff so it should wrinkle up more.
I like the American cuff style but for a person with smaller hands, the large wide scale of that cuff can sometimes look odd imo. That's the only reason...
Does anyone have a Aero Long Halfbelt or Herc with something other than the American Cuff? Would button cuffs look out of place on the design or get in the way somehow? Any pics
Seriously, Big thanks Dinerman. Very helpful seeing the various vintage styles. Im surprised no one has an aero LHB with yokes, maybe they just won't do that mod. I think it would look really good.
Hmm, that photo rules out the western yoke and bag pockets for me. Nice design, but not versatile enough for my everyday wear. Any LHB's on the lounge with a straight chest yoke or slight angle? Along with the regular cargo pocket/handwarmer setup.
Has anyone ever had a LHB made with a front chest yoke (no breast pocket)? Almost like a more streamlined Aero Hudson. Either a completely straight yoke across the front or slightly angled. Thoughts on how this might look? I think the old Windward label might have produced something similar.
The main zipper failing sucks, but occasionally happens with new talons from what Ive heard. Color loss is normal and some lining wear is expected. Now if the lining was completely sagging, tearing etc, that would be an issue. In my experience with Alexander Leathers, they will sort it out for...
I like the Goodwear Acadia design with the two symmetric pockets :) but I already have a fair amount of short jackets. Looking for something closer to 29" back, and at that length would probably need cargo pocket flaps ike the AL Spiegel to keep it balanced
True, the aero herc already has a lot of busy angles etc and two pockets would be a lot going on. Now this jacket from AL looks like it needs two chest pockets to me. The design appears a bit more vertical than a herc.
Anyone have a Hercules jacket with two chest pockets? Basically making the front design symmetric. Maybe also adding a bi-swing back.
I'm sure its been done before, but I cant seem to find one. Any photos or opinions??
Lots of good info. I was never really a fan of how A2s look on me personally. They look great in pictures and on other folks but just not on me. However, I really like the ANJ3 style. I'll post a few photos of my GB ANJ3 (exterior flap & epaulettes) once it's done drying. Currently giving it a...
Not much love for the ANJ-3 huh? Anyway, as and FYI to those looking. Gibson and Barnes has one mid-brown ANJ3 in 38reg left in stock if you call them. I claimed the last 40reg. Oh, and size wise, this cut was definitely true to size. Not oversized like most say, maybe their civilian stuff is...
Any good photos of ANJ-3 jackets being worn? Considering picking up one of these as nice spring semi-dress jacket. Looks a bit more formal then a horse/steer hallfbelt.
It's seems there are plenty of Half-Belt styles to go around this site but not so much on the full-belted styles that were common ages ago. Does anyone have some good examples (front/back photos) of either vintage or new full-belt styles (besides Aero) ??
I have a sample of the AL black goat and it's a really nice thick hide. Some of the thickest goat I've seen. Very tough top coat as well and didn't seem to scratch easily. If I didn't already have 3 black jackets, I would definitely order one up myself! I went with the Black horween cxl Bison...
