Thanks Sloan. Your's was one of the threads I already looked through as it had great photos! I would guess the shinki horse might drape similar to goat as its a lighter hide? Aero had goat dustbowl size 40 for sale but i missed it. Usually need 19"shoulder, 22.5 pit, 25-26 back. I might ask them...
Let's see some photos of these being worn. I've only come across a handful. Specifically interested in how the back multi-panel design drapes while its worn.
Anyone have a Dustbowl in goat? I might be looking into that.
I'm in the same boat Harry. Always see tons of 30's HB, but rarely an actual Cossack. Yes, the are very very similar but still a different jacket. Aero has a good image in their gallery and I believe FL member Quake had one as well.
I'm now looking for examples of the Dustbowl in seal goat...
Hmm, this might put a dent in that plan. Did you ask them recently or last year? I sent an email to Holly before Christmas so I figure they have some catching up to do. Once I hear back from my initial email, I'll ambush her with the questions / wish list! Maybe by waiting and not hassling her...
I hear you, was just thinking that no chest pockets might be a clean look. I want to be able to wear this with business casual attire (jeans, tucked in dress shirt) and not look to motor cycle ish. Was also toying with the idea of two horizontal chest pockets but thought that might look a bit...
No members with Cossack pictures / comments?? Also trying to see if no chest pocket is too plain. My other jackets all have one left pocket so I was thinking a change might be nice.
Thanks for the fit suggestion route, but I already own a couple jackets and pretty much have my shoulder, pit...
I'm ordering direct from Aero so I'll ask next week when theyre back in the office. Any other thoughts on the Cossack hide pictured, could it be Steer? It doesn't look like the regular FQHH in brown as that's usually much lighter.
I'm thinking the same roomy fit picture above so I can layer a...
I found a few older threads on the forum but was wondering if anyone had current photos / reviews of their Aero Cossack? From what I previously read, the Cossack is a bit roomier...between 50's HB and 30s HB. I already own a black vintage FQHH 50s HB but this time want something a little more...
Thanks to the great help I received from this forum when picking out my new black Aero 50's HB, I've fallen in love with that style and now want a similar version in brown. That being said, I'd like to trade (or sell) my perfect fitting Aero Pioneer Kudu (button cuff, plaid cotton lining, dark...
Think Im going to pass on this one considering I have a shorted upper torso. My other jackets are all 25" back and hit the top of my jean pockets. The hunt continues!
I've asked the seller to confirm the measurements but no response. 20" pit-pit does seem small for a jacket with 19" shoulders. And 31" for the back length seems extremely long. I'm 5'9 and think that would look much to long on me.
Any thoughts on this Aero Cheyenne? I've never seen the Indian Goatskin. Pros/cons? Any photos of you guys in a Cheyenne?

Thanks for all the opinions! I actually decided right after I posted, guess I just needed to see it typed out in front of me. Went with option 2. Jacket is a 50's aero half belt. Will only be wearing this in the Fall/Winter Northeast, NJ / NYC. Tweed liner is plus and I want to wear it...
1. Black FQHH - black drill lining (pit sized for neat fit)
2. Tumbled Black FQHH - herringbone tweed lining (pit sized looser fit to allow for lining / thicker shirts)
Not really looking for a skinny/trim fit... I want some room just not soo much that Im swimming in it. That highwayman specd above is good except for that crazy pit measurement. This isn't for riding in, just casual attire.
Found one for sale on Aero's page but it has some weird measurement.
38 Tag
SHoulder - 19
Back - 25
Waist - 21.5
Pit-Pit - 23.25
Pit-pit seems oddly large. All the other measurements are good on this jacket and will fit me. I really need a 21.5 pit. How bad / loose would this look as is?
Looks like you already decided but I highly recommend the RW Beckman. Truly is a made in america boot on par with the old quality we used to produce here before profit margin and global outsourcing came into play. Most people say they run .5 size smaller but I found stay with your normal size...
Can anyone tell me what the "normal" standard measurements are on a Aero Highwayman 38. Im trying to hunt down a used one and have seen some odd sizes. Thanks
Back Length - 25
Sleeves - 25.5
Shoulders - 19
Pit - ?
