    Favorite flight jacket repro makers

My favorite repro company is Buzz Rickson's, not only for flight jackets and other militaria but also for their parent company's (Toyo Enterprise) 1930's and 1940's civilian workwear and motorcycle gear. They offer a very diverse and constantly changing line of merchandise, ultra-high quality...

I too have only ordered my Aero goods directly from Scotland, mainly dealing with Will. Splendid chap.

Hideki Okisaka: Master '30s tailor !

Exactly who does most "most people" and "us" refer to anyway? I must direct you to my previous post. In addition, if I have offended any JAPANESE people, then please accept my humblest apology. Please note this apology is not directed towards non-Japanese who seek to censor the free thought or...

Best way to get an Aero?

Seems Mark's prices run slightly higher than the pound/dollar exchange rate, but he does pay for the customs ans shipping. Aero ships to the US for free anyway (for any order over 350 pounds which is about the cost of the average Aero jacket). Factoring in the higher cost/paid-for customs vs...

    Re-enacting.

That's really cool. My Grandpa Bob was a photographer for Stars and Stripes. He was all over the place between England, France, and Germany. On the ground and in the sky.

Hideki Okisaka: Master '30s tailor !

Man, that's like an Irishman sticking up for the English. This is clearly a new world we live in. The Word removed--Edit Matt Deckard reference was just a joke in reference to the original post of this thread. I hold the Japanese in the HIGHEST regard amongst peoples of this world.

Hideki Okisaka: Master '30s tailor !

Absolutely right, but that's what I find so appealing about them. Man, that Japanese man can sew! --Edit Matt Deckard

    Levi's Leather

I fear that partnership may have dissolved as the latest LVC Leather jacket, the "Menlo" cossack, was manufactured in Portugal (and is a really neat jacket). Perhaps the dollar became too weak to continue hiring Aero, which is a damn shame as it was a beautiful arangement.

As bizzare as it seems, actually happened. Cannon spilled beans galore during and after her divorce from Grant. Riveting stuff.

Dumbfounded. Wow. Leave it to the Japanese to do something right, yet again.

    Levi's Leather

Well Shamus, you are either mistaken or Ken was feeding you (or the rest of us) some kind of spin. On the Aero site they consistently use the various leathers purchased for LVC orders to manufacture "regular" Aero jackets and describe these leathers as being more expensive then what they'd...

    Happy Birthday...

Man, I would just love to have seen old Archie tripping his brains out on acid spanking Dyan Cannon over his lap, sevants assembled to watch.I suppose it's every man's dream, really. A suave gent.
