A friend of mine recieved an Aero Hercules jacket last week made from their sale jerky cordovan horse. upon examing it, I was shocked to find that it featured a central YKK (stamped "Aero" on the front of the pull and "YKK" on the back of the box) zipper and not a Talon.
I agree with Shamus on this. It seems the only reasons people listen to hate radio, be it to Al Franken or Michael Weiner/Savage, are to nurture the hate they already possess and to erase any doubts that their hatred is justified. As a reliable source of news/information stations that air this...
"Graffiti"? Hardly.
Perhaps I'm a tad biased here, but I find some of this prejudice against tattoos somewhat obtuse.
There's a decades-old saying in the tattoo business:
The only difference between tattooed people and non-tattooed people is that tattooed people don't give a toss whether you...
The apple falls far from the tree.
Douglas Gresham, the producer of NARNIA, is the stepson and heir to the fortune and copyrights of Narnia author C.S. Lewis. He is a staunch evangelical Christian and commited anti-abortion activist. Gresham comes from a very interesting parentage. His mother...
One of my all-time favoites. Any of you folks seen this? You should.
Black comedy at it's bleakest and maybe Burt Lancaster's greatest performance in a screen career equaled in greatness by nobody else.
I see epaulets on the jacket's shoulders. This jacket is also single-breasted whereas most of the German/Luftwaffe buttoned jackets were double-breasted. In addition if you look really very closely at area around the breast pocket you will see the beginning of a large arc of stitching which...
Nice jacket. I had a Real McCoy's Japan A-2 (McCoy's Sportswear model). Beautiful, but too big and long sold on eBay.
Currently own a several McCOy's jackets and other product but they are all of the motorcycle/work variety.
Great stuff, McCoy's. Among the best.
Actually, following IndyJim's line of reasoning, nor would Winston Churchill be considered a gent (small anchor on forarm), or for that matter Franklin D. Rossevelt (family crest). The list of distinguished tattooed non-ladies/gentlemen is VERY long and includes presidents, kings, and queens.
The asterix was a mistake on the commissioner's (was it Frick then?, can't remember...) part. Once you begin to examine and asterix things there is really no end to it, which is probably why it hasn't been done since.
Harry Lime,
While I agree with your argument to some extent I think this fellow has a legit gripe here. Yes, Stuart does have a strict and clearly worded policy/disclaimer. But there's a huge difference between applying a coat of neetsfoot oil to a damaged area of leather on a jacket and...
Likely that it'a somewhere between a "bootlegger"-ish jacket and a buttoned A-1 style jacket (Los Angeles Sport Togs had a few patterns similar to this way back then). There was probably a ball-chain zipper on that slash pocket. Neat!
Aero produced an A-1 Howard Hughes-like jacket for LVC a...
Yet another incident to add to add to Stu's resume. I'm just amazed that this guy hasn't packed up ship and vanished into the woods yet. He's a unabomber waiting to happen.
Just read some of the diatribes on his site to get an idea how charming he is.
I live in New York too. I don't watch brodcast television or read the Post or the News so I'm able to remain happily ignorant of what's going in mainstream popular culture. In fact I shun it at all costs. And of course I know who Bush and Cheney are, Silly. They are the fellows I voted against.
So Nick and Jesscia are in show business?
From the way people wrote about them I thought perhaps they were murderous cop-killers or something. Like Bonnie and Clyde.
Thank goodness they're just plain old entertainers!
Just as a gentleman should be capable of firing his shotgun accurately at a flock of geese, a lady should be capable of roasting a mean goose.
Ok, time for breakfast...
