Favorite flight jacket repro makers

For Navy jackets (G-1s, 422, 422a, AN6552, ANJ3a, 55J14, 7823 series)
Flight Suits, Lost Worlds, Real McCoys NZ, and Aero.
Sheepskin B-3, M444, M445, ANJ4 D-1, B-6 etc

I have a Buzz Rickson Rough Wear 23380 model A-2 in the bronco hide that is the best repro I have ever owned. This one is so close to the original RW 27752 I had. It was so good that I traded for a second one. I think after that Aero and RMNZ are great for the grainy hide that I like. Flight Suits makes an awesome goatskin jacket that is so close to my original Rough Wear 18091 goatskin A2 it is amazing. I have had three eastmans:RW 1401, RW 27752, and Cable. While they are ok jackets the leather is too smooth for me. Don't have any experience with Navy jackets as I have only originals. However, the RMNZ 422A looks awesome.

I think if I was able to get another A2 it would be a Dubow or Monarch RMNZ.

greyhound, yeah I really like both Ricksons and RMJ they just don't have any jackets big enough for me. With the price of original Navy jackets its kinda crazy to buy repros unless your a big guy like me. I do have a killer Irvin Foster C (mid 60s) G-1 thats a huge 48. 27 pit to pit across the front and very full sleeves.

I really like FS/G&Bs Navy jackets. My favorite Navy repro is probably my Lost Worlds G-1 though not the best stitch for stitch repro it really looks the part and is the one I tend to grab when heading out the door. To me thats maybe the most important thing. The goat on RMNZs 422a is really sweet.

I'm really seriously thinking of a G&B veg tanned goat A-2. I have a triple stamped NOS WWII Talon that really needs a home...

Rickson makes one great A-2. I've only heard praise for their bronco hide. Congrats....

My favorite repro company is Buzz Rickson's, not only for flight jackets and other militaria but also for their parent company's (Toyo Enterprise) 1930's and 1940's civilian workwear and motorcycle gear. They offer a very diverse and constantly changing line of merchandise, ultra-high quality construction, and the finest materials. The horsehide on my Rickson's Rough Wear is just too groovy. The Bronco hide on their Werber is the nicest I've seen on a repro A-2.
My second favorite repro company is Real McCoy's Japan. Ditto on almost everything I stated about Rickson's, but the price tag on the McCoy's products generally run about 40% higher and therefore less obtainable.
Honorable mention goes to Pherrow's.
