I think relationship to the belt actually makes sense, kronos. IMHO, the 1920s-1950s styled jackets were made to be worn with higher waisted pants, as they wore back then. When paired with the below-the natural-waistline pants often seen today, these jackets can look too short. I notice that...
Jeez, Romulus, with a 14" drop I don't see how you could ever wear anything stock. I'm 5'8" with a 9" drop (40" chest to 31" waist) and thought I had problems!
FWIW, I have a navy blue leather Vanson jacket that I've worn A LOT over the past several years, and the color hasn't faded or deteriorated at all (though I'm not sure if it's CXL).
Wow, WC, that's a really beautiful hat you got! Congratulations to you, and well done NW Hats! What are the specs (felt color, ribbon color, brim width), if you don't mind?

javadave: Though you didn't request the burgundy color for the brim binding, it sure looks great that way. What a wonderful mistake! Same for the other specs that came out a little off. The proportions of what they sent you look excellent. You've got yourself a really great hat!
It can be difficult/awkward to get an accurate measurement of inside circumference. But since the seller says all three hats fit him well, perhaps the seller could provide his head measurement.
