Most of them aren't my favorite styles, however, he wore a very nice straw early in the second season. That was a beauty, except that the brim was on the stingy side for me.
I think what I enjoy more than the hat styles are the fun little references to the hats. Kind of like what was done in...
I still enjoy watching Spader's portrayal, hats and all , but I'm a bit disappointed in the direction of the show. Too much 'chasing liz and the baby' and not enough blacklisters.

LOL! This reminds me of a joke that Brad Garrett (played the 'very' tall brother on Everybody Loves Raymond) used to tell as a standup comic. He said that people always come up to him and ask, "Hey buddy, do you play basketball? You've got the size for it." He said, "I don't go up to midgets and...
Good point regarding the mirror. I never thought of that. I'll have a couple of people look and see what they think, before I tell them what I think. The problem is, even if they like a certain look, unless I'm comfortable with it, it won't work, but it will be interesting to find out what...

'Easy' one for me. Even if I end up with 50 expensive hats at some point, the only one I would grab is the one that belonged to my grandfather (avatar).
Yes, thanks! Great picture. It would be cool having one of his 'actual' hats from the show. I remember he wore them mostly brim up. I look kind of funny with brims up. I can't wear my straw like Barn. :-)
I just got to thinking, maybe he meant 'polishing his shoes'. Maybe it was nothing more...
No hat picture to share, but one favorite TV hat has me wondering something...I always loved Barney Fife's straw hat (Andy Griffith Show) that he wore with his 'salt and pepper' suit.
In one episode, a date night fell through. Barney angrily said, "You spend all night polishing your hat and for...
Interesting. Thanks Art. Honestly, I never really loved the fact that mine was put together with hot melt glue. It kind of takes away from the 'romance' of the hat making process. :-)
My Panama hat ribbon was attached with hot melt glue, but in another thread, someone posted the idea of using double sided sticky tape. Can't remember who, but it was a good idea.
Bob, who were you talking to? Just curious. My transaction had some glitches that really sounded like I was getting jerked around, but it ended up to be nothing more than poor communication.
In my case, the replacement hat (I ordered the wrong size the first time) was an actual 'in stock' item...
Unfortunately, I can't contribute regarding color. I'm the most boring and unimaginative person in the world when it comes to clothing color. My wife says I don't own anything but brown and gray (I think I have some blue somewhere).
Sometimes I'll be dressed and we'll realize 'everything' I'm...
I really don't know. I've never tried one either, but I can see what you mean about plastic. Maybe watch the video on Art's site a couple of times and get a feel for how it falls into place at the 1:05 mark.
I think I'd probably do just what you are doing, that is, adjust it and re-adjust it a...
PHD has a sale going on now. I had a size issue with my purchase and was perfectly able to return the hat for exchange or refund. The problem is the shipping back and forth gets expensive, but at least the return option was there.
I chose to take the chance and it was worth it, but yes, a local...
