How many new jackets do you have coming (and how many potential ones)?

Just received a jacket from The Flat Head, something which I would could end game worthy. Both a combination of a classic style, with an obvious difference that makes it stand out.

One question I had though: the jacket fits me but I am currently gaining weight in the gym, so I think in 6 months - 1 year this won’t fit me.

I bought the jacket very lightly used (looks almost new and still has the Shinki smell).

Will this jacket (both due to to condition, the white colour and the smell), lose significant resell value if I wear it?

I would love to keep this jacket forever, but I think i will outgrow it, so don’t want to end up wearing it only a handful of times and then halving the resell value for those few wears.

I would just wear it and take care of it until it no longer fits(if that's the plan) if you really like it, and then sell. Why stress about something 6+ months in the future when anything can happen tomorrow? :D

It's a rather special/bold design so the market for a jacket like that is a bit of a niche, so I would assume that so long you take care of the jacket it won't lose that much secondhand value for a potential buyer. (this is ofc just a guess)

Anyway the jacket fits you great and it's sure is a cool design but in the end you know whats best for you :)

You cannot know for sure how will your body grow as you gain weight, at what pace you'll gain it or how much it'll grow. Even if you do grow and some clothes stop fitting you, it may not be all clothes anyway.

As someone who has gone through this (my chest has grown 11cm since mid 2022), all my clothes still fit me except for my Hugo peacoat which I never even got to even wear (and some that may be tighter than before but still fit, some I would argue to fit better than before). Perhaps I should just list it on classifieds/ebay...

It goes to show how [commercial?] clothes aim to fit several body types.

While I’d say this is generally true, Ive gain 2 inches in my chest in the last 6 months or so, so there is a good chance ethos won’t fit (it is already slightly on the smaller side in the chest, but currently still works)

Agreed! I would love to wear this and sell it when it no longer fits, just want to make sure I’m not going to significantly lower the resell value (which I wouldn’t care about if I never outgrow this)

Any more thoughts on this? Fit I like, mainly just want to know, how much of the resell value will I lose by wearing this?
