Thanks guys- it's the Pueblo Bridal Cowhide- fairly heavy and thick but still very supple. It's also signed by 4 WWII pilots and has an original Talon Zipper.

Goodwear Pre-Production Dubow
ust a couple of quick shots of my new Goodwear Dubow- one of John's pre-production jackets. Simply the best A-2 I've ever owned. - I'm going to post a review on the VLJ this weekend with better pics. Size 48, I'm 6' and 190 lbs (OK, 194). It was a little large...
Yeah, can't beat a boxer. I bought a Suzuki GS850G this summer to complement my CJ and I think I'm going to get rid of it. Just not my thing...
Ed- check with MV magazine (out of Iola, WI)) and on the web- There's a place called oldtimers garage in Poland that also restores and sells R75's...
I own a Chang Jiang (pronounced "chung jung") that I built up from milkcrates and added a BMW 90/6 motor. There are several reputable guys in China right now who will build an excellent 6V side-valve flathead M1 with a sidecar for around 5K- to your specs, in your color, and with good parts. I...
I don't want to hassle with e-bay so I'm going to put some stuff up here- This is An ANJ-3A repro goatskin flight jacket from Sporty's Pilot Shop. It is essentially a G-1 without the mouton collar. Great condition except for some wear on the inside of one of the cuffs. Bi-weave knits, YKK...
I must have an ovaled head as well- the slight taper in the pics disappears on my head- I think most of the taper came from trying to make the center dent and front pinch too low. This is where spending too much time on COW will mess one up. Too many different nitpicky variables for us hat nerds...
Fed size 59 one week later...
So I've had my 59 fed for about a week and it's gone from dropping straight down onto my ears to a perfect fit- the clincher was the lampshade trick- I wet the entire band and felt behind it and put the hat on my large drafting table light (incandescent). The...
This is my grandfather sometime during or right after WW2- he died about 20 years before I was born. We think that A-2 he's wearing (consensus is it's a Dubow) was given to him by my uncle who flew P-38's in the CBI. I like the beat up cap he's wearing- lots of character.

Pics?
As for the CJ ( copies of a 1937 R71 BMW ) I am working on building one up with a mid 1960's BMW 500-cc engine.
Again, pics? have you been to the CJU site? It's huge and covers all things CJ in the US and in PRC.
For less then 6 grand you can have a bike like no one else unless you...
The biggest problem I have with a sidecar is going back to a 2 wheeler- I'm so used to having all that room to carry stuff I don't know what to do with just two little saddlebags...
A friend of mine used to have a Moto Guzzi Stone Metal (Jackal) with a big Chinese sidecar, that bike would go...
More from my hat pile. One very cheap repro crusher with a smaller crown, one valet/Kaiseresque style hat, and one vinyl Chicago Police hat. All are about 7 1/8 but the police hat has an adjustable band.
The black valet cap has a hole in the lower crown (lower right front)but that's about...
The taillights came from a pre 1950 VW Bug- not hard to mount, just had to do some careful trimming and fabbed up a couple brackets. That bike has Chinese, Russian, German, American, Japanese, and British parts...

Just wondering how many other gearhead loungers are out there with sidecar rigs-
This is mine, a Chinese vesion of a Russian version of a 1939 BMW R71 called a Chang Jiang (pronounced more like Chung Jung, rymes with "hung"- means "long river")
Fulle Story...
They do shrink fast- I just pulled another piece of foam out and I've mainly been wearing it around the house. I think the 59 was a good choice.
