mens' cologne
What is considered to be a "classic" cologne-and available to be bought,
not just talked about? I've used one for years, and need to switch-turns
out my wife really doesn't care for it.!? I'd like something that is considered
to be one of the finer scents; have a full beard...
If I had the chance, I'd buy it in an instant. Haven't seen any like it, and do
believe it could have been an OR type; if it's a 7 3/8, let me know...:D
Mr. F: you've done it again! Please consider me for a 7 3/8 LO in a Natural,
and I wouldn't mind if it had a few "character marks"...I'd be very interested in
looking at possible ribbon choices when the time is right.
By the response shown,I think a wise business decision has already been...
And i just saw a Borsalino listed on ebay that had a whip-stitched band; thought it looked suspect, and stayed away from bidding. Nice hat too...
great score-Singer's are so collectable-an old antiques friend of mine who
normally dealt in good late 19thc furniture used to scour New England's...
I talked with David Hack on the phone 5ish today; his call on sizing is -on
an Indy Jacket, I should get an XL- I'm 5'10, 190lbs, no gut; he was pretty adamant about sizing and quality...the original company that bought the jackets over 6 years ago was SOHO; they also made Avirex jackets for...
I'm with Bud all the way on this one; take as many photos as you can,
and ask Optimo if they can possibly shoot a few as well, and then keep
that hat close by. If you have any thoughts about this being a so-so
hat, that maybe....then look again at the name of this thread.
Thanks very much for a detailed, concise, and non-threatening guide to
bringing a hat back from the dead. You're a heckuva good teacher. Thanks.:eusa_clap :eusa_clap :eusa_clap
Daniel: great eyes! very hard to see the object transformed, especially when
the style of each (or each style?) is so impressed into our hat loving brains.
To have a dramatic result shown to me is really a treat-normally read about
the event-great work,Art, and I hope I can send one out to...
WEEGEE- Great photo, huh? I wanted that hat so badly......and I'm glad it went
to you, and still drums home the lesson of coveting things and forgetting the
life that surrounds us. Not sappy-just trying to learn some humility and congratulate the winner, rather than growl at the moon. Great...
looking for a good-fine quality Panama, Fedora style, 7 3/8-7 1/2 ; for the
Summer season-have a Kentucky Derby party coming up May 5, coinciding with
Cinco de Mayo so style is really going to be critical; please PM me if you have one for sale.
Dinerman, you hit the jackpot! That Bergen deserves some serious investigation
IMHO; might be something important; and the Pilgrim; grrrrr ( I mean, nice hat).
Now go back to school and stay out of those bad shops.
I'm with Red-do they have anything newer? what a terrific piece of hat
history!! Thanks very much for sharing, and if anyone can come up with a
photo of a "Boss of the Plains"- it'd be appreciated. thanks again.
Elaina- get better quick! and Bud, we're due for a forecasted half-a-foot
of the white stuff on Thursday-was up country Mon. and they still have
almost a foot in the woods, and man is it coollldddd. Send up some Texas
sunshine, will 'ya?:eusa_doh:
Howdy Vern! Your hat really looks great- Resistol snuck some sleepers by
the hat wearing crowd- I've got a couple of winners, but yours is by far
more stylish-sorta transitions from Western to City, and does it easily.
The second hat, on the other hand (or head) is one familiar to us all-...
RBH - One fine job, my man- and you are looking pretty dapper these days, with
the silver beard and tan...any hat would look good on you- even a "Tyrolean".
Sorry Dean couldn't help myself....RBH - just unpacked a Beaver Brand 20x, with about a 6" brim and tall enough to hide a coffee cup...
I'm very tempted to try and buy an Indy goatskin in Black-normally take a 44R-what's the exchange rate on sizes- go up one, down one? and has anyone
called them in the last couple of days? I'd like to get one, but tired of the
run-around....give me a holler if you can help?? thanks[huh]
