ah, you know it's autumn when Douglas sprouts his annual beard...
why-you can set your calendar by it! great hats, as usual:eusa_clap :eusa_clap :eusa_clap
I've got taller OR'S that I like better, and one shorter crown OR that
I hang back up. Not anymore, it's for sale-I'll try and get it & photos
on CLASSIFIED today.
ps 7 3/8, very light tan,3X great condition...
Be careful not to leave it hanging around- if it were mine, I'd get a wind trolley and tie it around my ear... terrific hat, and great taste! :eusa_clap :eusa_clap :eusa_clap
Love the Borsalino!! I'm thinning my collection considerably-and will send
a couple of the best I'm left with out to Optimo...also means I'm parting with around 20 or so hats! lots of photos to take; big undertaking, but needs doing, so's I can have just a few that look like yours. Great hat...
the Supernatural is just stupendous...what lines! it seems like we see the
best that design has had to offer-and we can wear it on our noggins!
reminds me of a great train, or an elegant steamer- time slowed down
in the early evening haze of a Southern mansion-turned-hotel,fine bourbon
on...
welcome to the lounge! I've been looking for a decent alto for the longest
time-all I can find is waaay overpriced not-so-vintage horns with pads held
on with band-aids. Neat to hear of your scores on saxes! Now if there was
a soprano hanging around without a home...let me know?
I think...
great hat!! why not try both kinds of ribbon? Nutria is so soft & forgiving,
you could give the hat 2 different bashes,2different ribbons-
buy 1 get 1 free... congrats on a great score!:eusa_clap :eusa_clap
ABorsalino pocket? Oh I need one. Just one . Pleeeze? terrrific hat, would
trade almost anything in my collection for one, no kidding. Light, soft, lines
to die for...arrgggh.
Another great hat, Douglas. dang. I want one too. :eusa_doh:
Been out of touch this summer. Sat down at the screen for more than 30 sec., saw that hat and slowed dowwnnnnn..... wow. Is it possible to see any more photos of this hat? Please? I really fell in love with the lines/color/threat of softness. Been waiting for a hat to really knock me down-and...
Douglas- Great hat, great look-as usual. Does it ever slow down??
Marc: terrific hat!! love the concept and the fact that it works is
dandy. Yeah, Borsas roll up too, but the fine straw? too much.
by the way, very good photos of the unrolling process. :eusa_clap :eusa_clap
WOW- now that's a great before/after example-thanks!
(I've got a couple of oldies with a gold/faded ribbon as well-wonder if they
too were grey?) Has any one else seen this color change??
was out in the weather yesterday-a balmy 95F with a dewpoint of 75-made me
a little lightheaded...dimly remembered needed to clean some lids; sat for 1/2
hr contemplating best method (also baking brain to med. rare-forgot to wear a hat, figured head full of black hair would insulate me...
the Dobbs is one great hat-and a tough character, too...like to see the condition of the car after the fact...and since it's so good, you must of
course forfeit the OR immediately, and send it post haste to yrs. truly.
great color & bash. i need it . really...
No fair, you mugs...those hats are too good to be true. And here I am spending all my time and $$ on motorcycle stuff. And I have to wear a really comfortable helmet, just to rub it in...with the chinstrap choking me, and the thing is too tight-like a
vise on my noggin at 80mph. Nah, my hat of...
Razzman: ditto the above. Send it out and let the pros sort it out; one
heckuva nice hat! If you compare the quality with some of the better
Stetsons and even Borsalinos, I think you'll find it close to call. I've got a couple, and it never fails to put a smile on my face when I can don a...
Douglas: The Playboy is a superb hat (that's news...) and looks great on
you-would look ok on me, too. If you ever decide to maybe ah,
fuggetahboutit. Enjoy. I'll simply spend my remaining years looking for one
like everyone else with an eye for the simple, elegant, timeless old hat...
