My 2 cents- I think you hit it hard when you said "wanna be adventurers..."
we all want to be someone we're not, in some little way, and as RBH simply put it-"Indy Jones is just cool!"- it's the slam-bang, thrill a minute macho hero wiseacre who just so happens to wear a very carefully...
I'd simply check the auction houses' history; to be found to be dealing with fraudulent material is the death knell for most houses, and to state that all of this "hysterical collection" (did I say that??) is true to the best of their knowledge-all items sold as is, seller not responsible, etc...
Brand X: What camera did you use to take the shots of your hats, and can you remember the lens, settings, etc.? the shot of the trio on the dresser is very good-nice&sharp, good detail, and very smooth transition to OOF.
All of your shots are good examples of how to shoot a hat ( I use a .12...
ANJ- I was writing my post as yours was loading, so I missed all the action- great work, and kudos for the problem-solving; dunked the hat, liner and all??
And I'm still afraid to wear my hats out in the rain. really.
Thanks JT- our difference is that I don't soak the hat, merely steam the daylights out of it, getting it moist & warm, then trying to do something that requires 3 hands. And a wet hat. I'm learning, but the curve is sometimes too steep for this cement-head...:eusa_doh:

Put...

and-how did you compensate for the taper at the very top of the crown?
I've tried all kinds of things with my stretcher-an...
jeez...my size! would rather be down to a 36W, but heck, I can still see my feet... gotta run this one past the local Fashion police (the Mrs.) .
Never seen a suit in my size for sale in all the years looking on eBay. Jackets, yes, but a suit, with the right inseam? hope I have a hat to...
oh, to see that sweet little tag sticking out of the sweatband: LO
they've become two of my favorite letters...I've gone to the extent of getting my hair cut so that I've got some extra on the sides to help compensate for the gaps in da hats, although they do make some good places to hide...
try one of the newsboy type caps-in leather-and wear it backwards.
you have to get one that's pretty thin in front, so it looks ok from behind.
tried it myself, works ok, looks good with black leather. I usually wear
a darker color Open-Road type fedora with a cafe-type jacket,or-a black...
