To me there is no noticeable difference in comfort between all these jackets that is linked to shoulder width, and all of them are a decent fit visualy.
Of course there is a minimum...
Yep, any maker who stands behind his product should see these pics and say "Sorry we got it wrong, let's remake it."
Edit: but i think you should stop wearing it asap so that they still get a "new" jacket returned to them.
Shoulder width is over rated, IMO it is the least important measurement on a jacket.
I have jackets with shoulders ranging from 18.5" all they way up to 21" and they all fit well.
It's a different look, but not a comfort thing.
IMO that jacket looks like it is one or two sizes too large, the...
At this point i am pretty much convinced they are pulling different combinations randomly out of a hat...
I wish they would fix the lingering pattern issues rather than focus on recycling them with different cosmetic overhauls.
Personally i think Freewheelers is better made than Himel.
My Himel is well made, better than a Schott or an Aero, but it still has multiple areas where the stitching isn't straight, some empty stitch holes, some folded seams are not symetrical on both sides of the jacket, it's good, but not as...
I think the teardrop Talon zippers used on the pockets are 60s, not 50s.
Professor @tmitchell59 should be able to confirm that...
That's a very very nice jacket you found there, i have been looking for one like that that fits me for a few years now.
Edit: Bottom of the 1st page, teardrop...
Be careful carrying things like that.
One day i ordered something from a website called CoolBlue, the cardboard box it arrived in was bright blue.
I carried it 50 meters against my chest whilst wearing a LW leather jacket.
When i put the box down my jacket was covered in bright blue stains...
I am 6'2 and i can wear 24.5-25" back length.

It really depends on the pattern some jackets can have a short back and look good, some jackets with a short back will be too sort in the front:
Bunch of pics and measurements in there...
You really put some good work on this one, i barely recognise it!
I still really like the contrast between the grainy collar and the smooth body panels, it's a really well matched/cut jacket IMO.
Kersey was the oifficial US Navy wool for most peacoats untill the 70s i think, it was definitely nothing fancy, it's super tough....
It's just a different weaving method, not really a different quality/grade. It probably takes more time to weave than melton.
To me the main difference is wind...
Once you get somethign made from Kersey you'll know...
I have a Crombie Melton wool peacoat and a vintage Kersey 60s peacoat, you would not believe how much nicer the vintage Kersey is.
Where the Melton is open, a bit rough, not windproof or waterproof, the Kersey is woven super tightly, is...
Let me paint a picture...
Leather pants, leather boots, leather suspenders perfectly tuned so that the rings are aligned with your nipples, leather vest, leather cap, moustache.
