I would not use woolite, it's made for wool, not leather...
I have always done it this way:
5" or so of lukewarm water in the tub, add a dash of Lexol leather cleaner, drop the jacket in, let soak for a few minutes, then go over the jacket with a soft scrub sponge (the ones to clean Teflon...
From the old adverts i have seen the stars and tabs where just inspired by military ranks.
If you look at the Rin Tanaka books there are a few 40 and 50s adverts referencing "military style" when talking about them.
I think it was probably just a cool post WW2 thing when the US army was still...
Wall rack is on standby until i paint the room.
I still need to rip the wall paper, fix the plaster beneath it, sand it all and paint, then the wall rack is happening.
A friend and i bought a wall sander today, so it should be happening soonish...
I'm in the middle of redoing the entire house...
It means Long size.
As soon as you ask for extra length you get it, the problem is that there is no standard Long, ie you get the same L tag whether you asked for 0.5" extra length or 2" extra length.
It only gets bigger!
I have added two more since this pic was taken, one more should arrive before the end of the year...
(one pictured here has since gone to Croatia to look for lizards)
That's really nice!
My only regret is that HH had not mentionned it was a Long size in his add... Had i known it was 42L i would have bought it on the spot.
Gla it fits you though...
I have two indentical Aero (Bootleggers), one has cotton tartan, one has Wool Strome tartan.
They both fit exactly the same, i can layer as much as i want in both.

It feels a lot wamrmer in warm weather and makes the...
I agree with Navetsea, sleeves are long enough to be 0.5" shorter, shoulders hang off, and the back ends halfway down your back pockets which IMO is too long.
If you have a way to try a size below that one i would give it a go. To me it looks a bit big.
I don't know man, to me this is a backing button:
You basically sandwich the leather in between two buttons.
I don't see the point in putting a backing button in between the main button and the leather, it doesn't serve any purpouse.
I would say it is either:
_ the backing buttons are as...
Yep, those are called backing buttons and they are usually visible on the other side of the leather.
I don't think this is it though.
Look at the second to last pic, you can see the bottom two buttons don't show that, probably because they haven't been used much.
The third button from the...
What is going on with the buttons on this one?
If you look at the 6th picture it looks like the buttons are almsot pulling through the leather, i don't really understand what i am seeing but it looks weird.
How?
850Eur is around $1000, which is more than fair for a pristine Long size LW with Crown zippers. (long sizing is a 25% upcharge, Main crown is $250, there might be an upcharge for the secondary zippers as well)
That's a $2250 jacket ordered straight from LW before you even factor in shipping...
