Here is my Columbia, dated 1996, 43 XL:
This is without a doubt my most comfortable jacket, the range of motion is amazing.
There isn't anything you couldn't do wearing this jacket, it completely vanishes on your back when worn.
And here is a 60s Cascade:
That's also what i was told by JC too back in early 2018...
Excuses don't change i see... Why would he change anything if deposits keep on faling from the sky?
Not my intent to start a business model debate, but all that can be said for sure is "it depends".
I know for a fact that some members on this forum can get a jacket done in a couple months.
I also know for a fact that other members, like @Boyo and I waited for over 5 years, i am pretty sure we...
Poser, no one who fishes regularly would go fishing in a leather jacket.
Have you gone fishing? Everything you wear will come back smelling of fish!
The first fish you take out of the water will cover your nice leather in fish goop, no thanks.
That really looks cool.
I didn't like the pockets when i saw the floor pics, but on the fit pics they really look fine.
You really did a great job designing this.
How are the toggles? Do they feel sturdy? How are they in use compared to buttons?
I don't know, i'm a bass player, i live in the woods and i also go hiking wearing fancy boots, doesn't mean i have to create a new internet personality and feed the world "the right" image/lifestyle.
For example, i wear mostly motorcycle jackets, they are the designs i prefer.
I also ride a...
I received a LW CHP that was a bit too "bulbous" for my liking, the front looked ok but the back was weird.
I sent Stuart these pictures, he said "this isn't right, send it back we will figure it out and make you a new one"
He modified the pattern and basically tapered a 42 down to a size 40 at...
Just FYI GoodWear wait is not 1 or 2 years.
I waited 5 years with no contact from John before i lost it and asked for a refund, some people on the forum are at 6 years wait and counting.
Unless you are one of the chosen ones JC will take your money and proceed to ignore you for however many...
Meeeh, i don't know, maye i am jaded but it all looks fake to me.
These guys are basically the Kardashians of the workwear no?
Take a few steps in mud and dust, take a cool shot holding a shovel looking manly, upload and wait for the likes... Rinse and repeat everyday.
It all feels super...
Personally i don't hem jeans, i just get them in whatever length Iron Heart sells them.
If they are 35-36" i don't cuff, if they are above 36" i cuff.
I then never really undo the cuff other than during a wash, a pair of jeans that started it's life cuffed will be cuffed it's entire life.
Right...
Sorry, i hadn't read the original post in a few days, i'm just surprised you can't wear a sweater or a sweatshirt underneath that jacket, it really doesn't look that tight.
What do you mean by "layering"? Do you want to be able to fit a giant hoodie underneath your jacket?
I don't really get the need for layering... Just wear a warmer jacket.
I go T-shirt + cotton lined leather jacket, if needed i add a wool jumper (all my jackets can deal with a regular wool...
Personally i do not think the Imperial is a very comfortable jacket and i don't think sizing up will sort out your problems.
I briefly had a Goodwear Imperial in size 46, which was probably one if not two sizes too large for me and it was still pretty restrictive, it didn't feel comfortable to...
If you size down to a 36 the shoulders will most likely be 0.5" narrower, maybe ask for 0.5" extra in the sleeves to end up with more or less the sleeve length you have on the current one.
Depending on the difference in bottom hem diameter between sizes maybe do a "Tony special" and ask for a...
It looks like some sort of snow smock:
http://frontierbushcraft.com/2013/01/22/bushcraft-on-a-budget-improving-the-swedish-army-snow-smock/
The pockets are a different config on the one you posted though, no idea if it is an older model, maybe another military?
+1, not all measurements mean the same thing on different patterns.
If the pattern is cleverly designed you could have narrow shoulders and still maintain great range of motion.
If the pattern sucks, giving wider shoulders is a good way to help range of motion, but it might not help at all...
