I don't even think you did that.
IMO the jacket left Eastman like that and you are now worrying about something you didn't do.
When seams are folded before getting top stitched some are pulled tighter and will show more of the first stitch line. Some will be pulled less and the first stitch line...
The only constructive criticisme i have would be to have these seams double stitched rather than single stitched on the next one:
IMO the single folded stitch there is the only whif of cheapness i can see on there.
If that was top stitched like on the OG it would be a 10/10 jacket.
Other than...
That really looks good!
At least from the pictures it doesn't look like a 300$ jacket, it fits and looks better than more expensive jackets i have seen around here.
I don't think you have ever gotten such high value/fit for the money in any other jacket i have seen you post before.
It's also...
I saw it and instantly closed my eyes and closed the page....
@Jrolfe and I are of similar size too, so it should fit perfectly.
If it was a used jacket and was going for 400$ i would seriously consider it, but i really don't want to spend new money on an Aero.
Good luck with the sale, she's a...
Personally i have never seen a jacket with a Schott label that has all the Perfecto features (three pockets, coin pocket, front belt, epaulettes) as well as the long sleeve zippers on the front panel of the sleeve.
If they did make the wild one jacket why are there no other example of that...
Full grain suede is basically inside out leather.
Regular suede is what you get when you split leather in half.
If you have a 4mm thick full grain leather, you can split it in two, you then have a 2 parts, the bottom will be 2mm thick suede, the top will be 2mm thick full grain leather.
Edit...
That really looks nice.
How do you find the side zips feature now that you have lived with the jacket a bit?
Is it useful during daily wear? Or do you end up never using them?
I was thinking about that and wondering, are Thedi jackets losing their value over time because they have an edge of "fast fashion"?
If you look at Aero, LW, Vanson, Lewis, Schott, Langlitz, all these guys are basically doing the same thing over and over, with very few changes over the decades...
I have already seen an old Thedi Cafe Racer with that label stay unsold on eBay for £65, it stayed there months!
For some reason older Thedis don't seem to be selling that well or for that much money.
Edit: just saw this...
I disagree.
Michael Jackson bought the rights to all the Beatles songs, doesn't mean we now say MJ wrote them.
To me what they are doing is the same thing as if Robert Trujilo started taking credit for the first four Metallica albums.
Buying a company doesn't mean you can take credit for what...
The Schott way is "If you repeat something often enough it becomes truth"...
They stole the jacket in the wild one, they tried to do the same thing to the jacket James Dean wore, they like to take credit for things that where not always from them.
If they invented the first Motorcycle jacket in...
To me it would still have a weird back without the single loop.
The Schott 125 has that weird dip and triangular side laces, with the single center loop its a whole package.
I would leave it and enjoy it for what it is. If you want one without belt loops get a "regular" Perfecto,or a Schott 621.
