I just grabbed a killer model.b and I'm my usual 42 in that, love the fit of it as well. The commando has nice shoulder and chest mobility so was able to go medium, keep a trim torso.

Just FYI, Vanson M is equivalent to 42. S is 38, L is 46.
I am M or 42 in every Vanson i have tried.

That may be true most of the time but I found the sizing a bit different when I ordered my first Chopper. In that model a stock L is a 44 while an XL is a 48. Since I fell pretty much dead in the middle I went with the XL and the jacket was just a bit looser than I wanted.
That’s one reason I was really happy for the chance to order a size 46 when I ordered my custom jacket.

Yes, I briefly owned an earlier version of the Left Field Vanson jacket, and while I am usually between L and XL (or 42 and 44) the L was quite large on me. I returned it and thought about trying the M, but moved on to other things. But I have not been a Medium in anything for 30 years!
