I still feel guilty about email I sent to an eBay seller, complaining
about the frayed edge of a bow... it was a Cavanagh of extremely good
quality, almost new condition, 7 1/2 extra long oval and quite reasonably

Today I entered my favorite after lunch coffee source and joined
the line. As I stood there, a woman behind the counter stumbled
and dumped a strong, individually brewed coffee on the counter.
Too bad, I thought, not noticing that half the contents...
Looks like it had some decoration about 3/4 of the way
up the cone. Another ribbon perhaps. Or a photoshop mark...
Looks real to me. I wonder if one could add a few dents...
Meant to add that what is interesting to me is that I believe it
is a bowler because of the bow design. That angled, asymmetrical, raw-edged
bow is characteristic of bowlers. Hadn't really thought about it much before.

For example, if one orders a pair of size 10s, will they be
a standard size 10, a bit longer or a bit shorter? If it's a size EE width,
will it be a bit wider to accommodate thick socks or tighter to
make up for...
I am disappointed to hear that an, er, experienced hat wearer like
rlk thinks it's out of the ordinary to practice safe hat wearing in this
day and age.
And yes, 7 1/4 is tiny. I might go so far as to say useless,
