Good wear leather perry sportswear 23377 a-2 (size 44-46)

GOOD WEAR LEATHER PERRY SPORTSWEAR 23377 A-2 (SIZE 44-46) I've just posted this jacket in the classifieds to fund a Good Wear Doniger. I think that this hide is LGI102, but it's not as pale as shown on John's site (but again not as red as LGI103). It's a dead ringer for vintage Perrys...

For Sale Good Wear Leather Perry Sportswear A-2 23377 (Size 44-46)

FOR SALE GOOD WEAR LEATHER PERRY SPORTSWEAR 23377 A-2 (SIZE 44-46) I'm reluctantly offering for sale my recently acquired GW Perry 23377 (in russet goat), but I've tracked down a GW Doniger in my size and, although it's a tough choice, a quick cull is called for. I think that this hide is...

    A-2, G-1 & M422 Repro jacket knits. Comparisons.

My GW knits (Perry A-2 and A-1) are very substantial. Having said that, my ELC A-1 has knits that are pretty similar and not at all slack (and this jacket is worn hard).

AAF Shoulder Decal. To apply a meatball or not?

I'd be more pragmatic - if you're ever contemplating selling it (as you'll split opinion and your potential market); you won't be able to remove it that easily without possibly damaging the surface finish. I don't get that bothered about the 'I didn't earn it' view with replicas unless you're...

What is your raincoat of choice?

Waiting the arrival of this one from the U.S. - should be water resistant (in Bedford cord) with the addition of a beret.

Aero 1960s Type III Jean Jacket

Not likely to find that on VLJF though - haven't seen anything similar.

    An alternate Aeromarine??

Possibly it was just too young? In the '60s, the design would have been only 30 years old and presumably hadn't acquired vintage appeal. Where are we now, 2013. Would I contemplate wearing anything from 1983? I rest my case...

    An alternate Aeromarine??

Yup... Face it chaps, LVC has been there forever.

    An alternate Aeromarine??

Rarely absent from my bedside table...er..., yes. Riveting...hookless...I see what you've there, Alan ;-)

    An alternate Aeromarine??

The image of the 1920s sports jacket (a Cossack) has an identical label to mine.

    An alternate Aeromarine??

I'm not sure that the LVC Menlo Cossack didn't get there first?

    An alternate Aeromarine??

It's one of my (curmudgeonly and pedantic) bugbears. This isn't an 'Type A-1' as the term a military designation covering a particular specification (with woollen collar knit, knitted cuffs, knitted waistband, etc.). Regardless of the origins of the Type A-1 (and, given the development in 1927...

Good Wear Type A-1 (size 46) new domestic capeskin (single button collar pattern)

Thanks Scott, tried but failed to find an Aero thread to high jack - what ever happened to them? ;-)

Good Wear Type A-1 (size 46) new domestic capeskin (single button collar pattern)

Hi Bret Even I can only wear one A-1 at a time... I'm using the .50 cal and the Menlo Cossack interchangeably at the moment so the GW just isn't getting the wear. With a BK A-1 on the way something has to go. Cheers Ian
