Thurston Bros. - Official Affiliate Thread

Wouldn't be the first time ;-) But, I'd be a little careful positioning the jacket more carefully on the mannequin for publicity shots as the slant accentuates the strange perspective.

Is it just me, perspective, or are those pockets wonky? Not a fan of the blue though, the A-1 looked a lot darker.

    B-15: your thoughts

Hi JB I am currently selling an ELC B-15 (having recently acquired a vintage N-1 for my cold weather needs). I originally had a couple of ELC B-10s (which were undoubtedly sharper in design), but ultimately less practical than the B-15. I would heartily recommend the B-15: warm, weather proof...

LVC Menlo Jacket available again in UK

Well, each to his/her own - I'll take the LVC goat over the Aero goat, which appears to have less character to my eye.

LVC Menlo Jacket available again in UK

That's the steerhide version, which I sold on (supple but quite heavyweight).

The Aero Shackleton and PBS' Mr. Selfridge... Leather Waistcoat

WHOA! Jeff that's not a BBC series - it's from ITV, like that other rubbish, Downton Abbey. BBC series are usually of better quality (writing/costume/historical accuracy/production values).

What can I wear with this?

Still, Martha on your arm would be a good look... Incidentally, this former owner...not Scottish, skinny, spiky hair...? ;-)

    Another GW steer masterpiece

Yes, it looks excellent - the Indian goatskin is the closest in appearance to vintage that John has produced IMHO.

    Another GW steer masterpiece

I'm not saying that it's 'in-your-face' Griff (although you might be right about the monitor as none of my Macs have been calibrated in any way), but it doesn't strike so much of chord with me - although I am a sucker for darker russet hides. This is a GW Perry 23377 that I've just sold (in a...

    Another GW steer masterpiece

Fine tailoring as ever, but I'm not sold on the colour of the hide (very russet on my iMac monitor) and the Roughwear patterns leave me unmoved. On the other hand the current offering of Indian goatskin from John is about the best that I've seen in terms of look, drape and (importantly for goat)...
