Fedora Lounge Features - Report from Aero Leather Trade Week - By Craig Brown

Thanks, wdw a mid weight would work for me as a wind cheater, as I find the heavier hides a drag.

Fedora Lounge Features - Report from Aero Leather Trade Week - By Craig Brown

I think that it's in keeping Bret, but simply paler jackets don't do it for me (you'd be reaching for leather cleaner almost immediately and it'd look grubby - not patinated, grubby! in no time). The first spill of blackcurrant juice from your kids on a day out and you'd be in tears...

    My New Goodwear No-Name 42-18246-p

That's another of those lurkers - I like the detailing on the Fried Ostermann, but still tend to gravitate towards my Perrys (I have a GW 23377 coming in a few days).

This is the other pattern that I could see myself wearing, if its available in a lighter weight.

Fedora Lounge Features - Report from Aero Leather Trade Week - By Craig Brown

I like the pattern very much (along with the Heron, Menlo Cossack, and forthcoming Bill Kelso offering) this will prove to be a popular jacket, although I don't think that the hide selection is a winner. The weight (and particularly the colour) don't complement the pattern so well in my eyes...

    My New Goodwear No-Name 42-18246-p

Perhaps just too many good alternatives? You could pick a whole host of John's patterns, based on preference and body shape, and aside from half a dozen really popular patterns (Dubows, Monarch, Roughwears, etc.) there are probably a number of others, which are perfectly fine, that don't get as...

    Dying a white steerhide schott.

Austin Powers...International Man of Mystery? Going to have to be a carefully chosen wardrobe to complement a lavender jacket... Might want to think that one through...

My apologies, citizens of Cook County, Illinois, I salute you. I must confess the result wasn't emphasised in the UK.

A current LVC Menlo Cossack in brown steer will cost you around £300-£400 on EBay.

Yes, at least two potential perps have been 'tried in absentia' in another thread. Keep up! ;-)

    A little teaser from Aero

Not sure which jacket Aero produced for LVC. John Lever (newly appointed/anointed Mod of the VLJF - not sure how these things are done, apart from the puff of white smoke), might know. He uncovered the original on which this new one is based about 10 years ago, I understand: Nice...

But then, you're buying from a manufacturer with a full order book and a waiting list ;-) You need to go a little further down the food chain..

In Scotland? Are you barking mad? :-0 Like voting Democrat in the Midwest or Republican in New England.

TBH with the profile of this style of jacket, or an A-1, a slim wallet (which, as a jacket buyer, you'll have already) or a mobile is about it without pockets bulging and looking odd.
