I think that it's in keeping Bret, but simply paler jackets don't do it for me (you'd be reaching for leather cleaner almost immediately and it'd look grubby - not patinated, grubby! in no time). The first spill of blackcurrant juice from your kids on a day out and you'd be in tears...
That's another of those lurkers - I like the detailing on the Fried Ostermann, but still tend to gravitate towards my Perrys (I have a GW 23377 coming in a few days).
I like the pattern very much (along with the Heron, Menlo Cossack, and forthcoming Bill Kelso offering) this will prove to be a popular jacket, although I don't think that the hide selection is a winner. The weight (and particularly the colour) don't complement the pattern so well in my eyes...

TBH with the profile of this style of jacket, or an A-1, a slim wallet (which, as a jacket buyer, you'll have already) or a mobile is about it without pockets bulging and looking odd.
