Just don't like elasticated leather anywhere on a jacket I'm afraid - it's just a personnel thing. That abomination shitzo's boss bought was a prime example, elasticated leather cuffs and waist - not a good look :-(
Warm climates...what does one wear the rest of the year?
Which we had to worry about such things. Snowed in today and the forecast is for 2 more days of it! The new Kudu Pioneer has been put away and the peacoats are out!
Still think a brown 50's half belt would look good. The pictures on Aero's website do show it cinched up tight, which gives the waisted look. Just let the straps right out and it'll have a different look. For a longer coat, the Teamster or Cheyene are worth considering.
It's a full blown addicion, do doubt. How often do you recieve a new jacket, thinking at last it's going to give you some peace from the constant craving. In just a couple of days, you're back searching sale pages and auction sites to find the *real* Grail. We're all doomed :(
Can't hang...
The jacket looks good to me, but I’m not an A-2 owner. I have seen comments about tunnelling, when the knits disappear up the sleeve like this - apparently it isn't considered ideal. If you like the feel of longer sleeves I wouldn’t worry about it.
By far the best looking Ventura I've ever seen! Love the colour of the hide and the contrasting stitching just sets the jacket apart from all others. The lining is a great choice with the hide and gives the jacket a very expensive, classy look. The fit could not be better either, the perfect...
I think that's the first Alexander hide I've really liked the look of. Very nice indeed, and a good fit too. Griff is right, it sort of looks quite soft - a detailed description is indeed required :-)
