New Good Wear Ventura...

Brown like the hot chocolate I said before. I can see a slight bit of red - very slight in the unfinished edges. But I believe this will stay brown for sure. Even with just a few wears, it's starting to look killer. I'm wearing it in the house because I can't stand not to. :)

It is just stunning. And I know that feeling ... when my very first Aero -- a cordovan long half belt -- arrived last July, I was wearing it in the house in the evenings with the AC down low, simply because I could hardly stand not to!

I wore my first Aero to bed. My wife was looking at me like I was (and probably was) insane. It's nice to get older and still feel like a kid on Christmas Day. No apologies for that! :)

I love the color. Vickie said its the same as before, but it looks different on my screen. By the way, John will make those French seams. Psych!

After seeing all the pics of your awesome jacket I just had to get in line with Jc for one of my own. According to his email I'm only behind about 150 ppl with a wait time of 15-18 months :( gives me a long long time to hash out all the little details I guess.

Congrats Joey. It's so hard to think about that long of a line. Even with a new one on, I hate to think if I wanted another I'd be waiting 1.5 years! The question is, will JC ever get another jacket maker to help him, or keep the current backlog? Certainly there are capable craftspersons out there, but finding the right one(s) would be tough. I guess it's a good spot to be in, but that wait is painful. Start saving those pennies!

Enjoy the indecision, which to me is half the fun!!

Awesome. I noticed they're in the cuffs of the Ventura too. Looks awesome. How far off is your order?

Well, I was 2 or 3 behind about 2 weeks ago. So maybe this week or next, I don't know for sure. John is calling me first to hash out the details. He's graciously agreed to the changes I discussed above and now it's just a matter of getting on the same page and making the jacket. This jacket will be as close a copy of the eBay jacket I linked to as possible. I always wanted an Arcadia like this one, and seeing it gave me the confidence to go for it. John had me try on an A-2, but I just didn't want to order another A-2. I'm happy with my decision. Finally.

Awesome. Hope or turns out like you're dreaming of. I'm thinking of asking John if he'd do a two-tone. It would have to be very slight, and could be a disaster if not thought out well. I also have a thing for the new steer hide.
What color/hide did you decide on? Liner?
