I'm pretty sure that Johnson Leathers can do the job just like you want (and probably could do it standing on their heads). Give them a call and email them pictures before you connect if possible.
I get Orvis catalogs (although I never order because their clothes are cut too big for my bod). I'm always struck by how pricy their leather jackets are for what you're getting.
With the bib effect, it reminds me of the jacket in "Rocketeer." I know leather doesn't provide warmth per se, still I bet this design really works on cold air hitting the chest. The jacket underneath closes in the center the regular way.
While not wishing to appear as a prig, prude, or puritan, I feel compelled to say that his daughter Kris was married to "Rick" Nelson (although at the time of his death they were divorced. Kris had some problems with drugs etc. and wigged out for a long while).
P.S. Harmon won he Heisman in...
I really liked the movie and the WP is probably my favorite jacket (check my avatar). But I didn't want to spend the moolah and when a LW A1 in my size was on ebay, I got it for a good price ($280ish). Making a virtue of necessity, I do like having the knit collar with buttons when I'm on my...
Tom Harmon
He was on local TV so I saw him a lot. He played before face masks. I'd like to see a game in vintage equipment. I think it would be a much less rough and daring game. Some people might like things as they are; but I think "good hits," where one player tries to take the head off...
It may be of passing interest that, when Charlie Rose interviewed Larry David on "60 Minutes" yesterday, he wore a mahogany A2 with mahogany knits. No biggie.
Two observations:
1) One thing's for sure, 99.9% of companies would kill to have such brand interest and loyalty.
2) Whoever said "Honesty is the best policy" sure knew what they were talking about. Like Obi-Wan told Luke, "Once you go over the the dark side it will forever control your...
If anybody wants to see guys in A2's, go to YouTube. Just for fun I like watching the WW2 Army Air Force training films. And it's very interesting to see up close how the planes were operated. I doubt that I'll be doing much dive bombing in the near future; but if I have to, at least I now...
JL is the greatest. I like Aero jackets fine, but the custom fitting and design at JL put them in a different category entirely.
P.S. I too thought it was Alan "Johnson." Live and learn.
I wouldn't wish to a appear a prig, prude, or puritan; but I technically wouldn't call this particular hide black. Extremely dark brown maybe; but not black.
