I posted one a while back.

I know, not as many pictures as you might want, but it is a full belt jacket.
If you are vintage size, by all means get a vintage jacket. I have seen very few size 50
vintage jackets. I own one that is too small, one that is good, but had to be repaired,
and some made for me or new off the rack. If you don't count my 80s jacket as vintage.
Personally, I have...
Apparently they had to use some sort of oil to make it soft enough. It was pliable, but I wouldn't
exactly call it soft. Rough at the edges. Not inexpensive.
Alan might line my Score police jacket with Alligator or barbed wire when he sees this
(I'll take it down if you'd like- I asked your partner if I could take the picture, but forgot
to ask you if I could post it) I gotta show you guys what he showed me- a custom Louisiana
gator jacket. It's a...
Nice. I saw a one tonight in the RRL store in SF and it had what Wesco would call "loose grain" on the toe box.
Yours looks great. You can probably get the simple tool to stretch boots for about the price the cobbler will charge you,
and it'll let you stretch the boot longer and repeat...
Ouch. You can find a lot more information on Amon Carter and the Shady Oak hats by searching this site.
Purplesage, that's a heck of a Borsalino. But you know that already.
Thanks, Dinerman. Interesting link, if only because I am interested in the history of bicycles. But a bit thin on the leather goods.
Do you know of any resources for pictures/history/examples of police leather jackets? Curious to date this one.
BTW, I think I'm going to get the shearling...
Thanks all. Sure is hard to find any information about Score, possibly due to searching on a common word (score).
Mostly I'd just like to see other examples.
Worf, I'm glad to spare you the heartache of a jacket that is too large.
LouisBailie, I love the length. Classic cop coat of the...
Fished out a Canadian police jacket! Looks to me 1930s or 40s. Horsehide.
I love bad listings.
Seems to have a shearling lining, with interior cuffs and an interesting wool
piece behind the neck, which preserved the leather there (usually the first to go).
Yes, that's awesome fabric at the...
Saw this at the flea market today:
Soft, half-belt-like jacket, maybe 60s or 70s?
I did not purchase the jacket or even try it on.
It seems like a reasonable side business for a taxidermist, I guess,
but not where I would go for my fashion.
Not sure if the company is still around...
Personally, I would pay around $150 tops due to the stingy brim and prospect of fooling with the
sweatband some day. And because I already have a lot of nice hats.
You might be able to do better on eBay. I don't know. It's a nice hat and I appreciate
that you shared it with us and made me...
