    Aero Leather Clothing trial update

Ouch. Didn't mean to derail the discussion entirely by bringing up Mark Moye. But I am interested to hear all this. AFAIK, he hasn't been found and brought to court. It did take a year and a half to get my jacket, but I did get perhaps the last one before he disappeared. He was always...

Clearance on Allen Edmonds Dalton dress boot in grey calf

I'd add a picture, but, incredibly, the way to load pictures on this forum appears to have changed again and I can't figure it out. Oh well.

Clearance on Allen Edmonds Dalton dress boot in grey calf

Well I sent those AE Daltons back to AE at their request. They returned with new rubber soles. Great. Except one started peeling off within two hours of wearing them. I had to pay to have new rubber soles put on. But that wasn't the problem. Very quickly they started ripping at the base of...

Those tongue protectors are loose. One chooses whether or not to add them to the lacing. I never do. Boy do I have a lot of those things in a drawer somewhere, including the THREE pair that came with my last Wescos.

    Snap Cufflinks

Somehow I just discovered snap cufflinks for the first time today. I sometimes have a hard time with the other kind (wide-boned wrists) and am thrilled to find an alternative that hangs on each side and snaps together. For those who have trouble pulling them apart, there appears to be a...

    Bemidji Woolen Mills

By coincidence I handled a Bemidji jacket for the first time today. It was pretty rough. I'd stick with Spencer's vintage stuff. Not a bad jacket, but that kind of wool item just isn't milled like they used to be, and the wool doesn't seem as nice. My opinion.

Nice! Doesn't look like they make my kind of width though. I'm gonna have to stick to Wesco.

White vinegar on leather-is it safe?

I might have tried leather cleaner or saddle soap. But that seems to have done the job.

    Aero Zipper Wavyness

The funny thing about that is some repro makers do intentionally copy features they know are flaws. Chapman told me he does this, for full accuracy. In other words, he takes original jackets apart and copies them as he finds them, even if he thinks something he's seeing is a mistake.

    Aero Zipper Wavyness

Why would anyone want a perfect leather jacket? The whole point is that it is a natural material and therefore irregular, and that it changes in a variety of unpredictable ways when it wears. That said, the zipper on my ~5 year old Aero Hercules is beginning to fail. Disappointing.

    THE MALLORY MILE

Nice. I have had a Coast to Coast for many years now. A real workhorse of a hat, though I've had to get the sweatband replaced. Classic.
