    Military 'woolly pully' sweaters

It’s worded very ambiguously and could have either meaning! Strangely enough, I received another one yesterday. I shall have to ask them. ...

    Military 'woolly pully' sweaters

Yes, I hope you will like it. I am very pleased with the new Royal Navy WP: OKW never disappoints! The 20% off is quite generous as well and seems to be renewable throughout the year.

    Military 'woolly pully' sweaters

I have just taken delivery of the Royal Navy WP with Epps from OKW - perfect fit and like my other WPs it will get a lot of wear.

    Vintage Rugby Jerseys

Slightly off-topic, but can anyone recommend an article about the history of Rugby in the US? I would like to know more about it but didn't find much with an initial search online.

    Autumnal Thoughts........

Autumn has of course given way to winter and I am enjoying the soft light, the short days, the frosty nights and mornings (of which we’ve had a fair number), wearing my favourite sweaters and feeling more relaxed and less stressed than I have for several months. I find that this year I am not...

    Military 'woolly pully' sweaters

I have spent OKW’s 20% off voucher on a replacement for one of my Royal Navy WPs, about 15 years old and falling to pieces. It is the version with patches and Epps but no pen pocket. When the new one comes I shall have the full set of Navy WPs: standard crew neck with patches; v-neck; crew...

    Military 'woolly pully' sweaters

I have an Aran round-neck sweater from Barbour that is much the same colour as the Army WP. I like it but don’t often wear it as the WPs crowd it out! It’s a ‘spare’ sweater in a drawer at my parents’ house and I sometimes wear it there when I visit for a weekend. I used to have a cream/ecru...

    White RAF Roll Neck Sweaters

Title sounds topical now that we’re ‘all alone in Brexitland’ as Marc Almond almost sang! More seriously, how did you come across this film - is it online or did you watch it on television?

That reply is so Teutonic! You are lucky to have such a marvellous view - especially at this time of year.

    Autumnal Thoughts........

Very beautiful autumn scene: where is it?

    Autumnal Thoughts........

Definitely not! It doesn’t have the allure or panache of a wool sweater. There are several threads about military sweaters and sub sweaters, to which I and others have contributed at some length. We’re wandering off topic here, except that sweaters are another big reason for enjoying the autumn.

    Autumnal Thoughts........

I’d forgotten about WPG. They have some good stuff.

    Autumnal Thoughts........

That is easy to find over here through Outdoor Knitwear or Silverman’s: mine came from Silverman’s and I’ve had it for at least 15 years.

    Autumnal Thoughts........

The conditions you describe sound perfect for me! You have inadvertently answered a question I put to you on the military sweater thread: the Irish fisherman you mention clearly is an Aran!
