@Tom71 just bought an addict but different style. And I know of one other member who's handled addict and said it was stellar. I can tell you Butterscotch is cool shop. I have their Vanson collab Commando. It is superb.
edit: btw, I used to think type 3 leather was kind of weird. Stuck my...
You helped me out when I had some questions a while ago, so I'll tell you straight.
I did not have a good experience. Can't comment on the actual jacket because I never got one. I was ready to throw money at them and they just never closed the deal. To be fair, it was smack in the middle of...
superb. Love the style and color variation. I'm trying to get there myself now that I've bought and tried on a bunch of stuff. 12 is my goal, like your clock LOL. We'll see. Tough to part with some of them.
The Cal is sold. So happy it's staying in the TFL family.
Gap Trucker measurements: ptp 22.5, shoulder 20, sleeve 24 (note the wider shoulder length, they fit fine like a trucker should), back 24 with a 1 inch front drop. Working on photos next.
Everything sold except the Gap trucker. See below for pics and info. I might add another jacket soon. Thanks TFL. 3 great jackets stayed in the TFL circle.

There was that guy who bought one in a thrift shop in Bay area. Straight zip, absolute mint condition with collar. Came with the badge holder unattached and also the fury neck guard thing. Had a local store label on it which probably prevented anyone not in the know from understanding its...
Pecards I'm starting to view more as a preservative than a softener. Been using Skidmores lately for the deep, softening conditioning and I like it. Usually will darken for the first day or two and then come back to where it was color wise slowly over a week or so. But some of those Urad...
shoot, I may take you up on that if I ever find a Cal that covers my belt line. I can't rock the belt on top of belt look. Maybe 30 years ago and if I had a guitar in one hand.
that's not too far off IMO. I can see though a little tight in the chest. You look pretty skinny so doesn't sound like some weight loss is in your future. Maybe keep it as your unzipped jacket.
The belt is worth $200. The collar is worth $200. Jacket looks mint. If I ever found one in this condition with all the extras that I knew for sure would fit me how I like, I'd hit BIN so fast. Worth it to try and grab a little bit cheaper for sure though.
The story of my life with Cals LOL. Either too big or too small. But both of these are simply stunning. Maybe a 36 and a 46 in modern sizing terms.

the problem with adding anything to the fraying material is it increases the thickness. Just remember you still have to be able to insert the pin which actually includes some of that material outside the metal part. I discovered this the hard way when adding a big glob of glue as an...
hey pretty good. If you get it wet again, stick in the dryer for 15 minutes. That'll bring it down a touch. But I guess it depends on what you will wear underneath. The 40 I have might be sized a little different since it was made in early 1980s. It is about as tight as I can go but as you...
don't know if it's a Cal. Gut tells me no for some reason. @tmitchell59 has a simple Cal racer. Can't recall if it's without the 6 panel or without the quilting. or both. Gwen did tell me most of the racers were made unlined. So that's a possible clue. Anyway, that one had a zipper...
FYI, this one still for sale, in case anything got muddled between the two threads. Although as we get closer to fall and can start wearing again, I might change my mind LOL. I think only those of us who have gone down the Cal Leathers rabbit hole can really understand the joy and mostly pain...
