Thanks again for the feedback and suggestions. I think that the sleeves will shorten a bit with wear, as the jacket creases up. Thanks James. The trouble is that I need a big size to fit around the shoulders (my old one was a size down, and too tight). Unfortunately British clothing companies tend to assume that anyone needing a large size will have an equally large gut. The fit's a lot better with a (thick) jumper...- Graemsay

What size hat do you wear?
My head measures exactly 61 cm (7 5/8), though I've been measured between 60 and 62 cm at times... I've got a modern brown Stetson that I'm currently wearing, which is a 60 cm (7 1/2), and is a bit loose. The Akubras seem to come up a bit large for their size sometimes so I'd go down a size... -
AERO size selection?
Aeros sometimes run a bit small, so going up a size would be wise. If you want to be sure, measure your jacket (armpit to armpit, length, etc.), send these through to Aero, and ask which size this corresponds to. New Max (who make the Borsalino lids) also make the Momo Design range of helmets. These meet the ECE 22.05 standard, which I believe is mandatory for motorcycle helmets in the EU and other countries, and is stricter than the DOT tests. -

I got my first Fedora today. :) Sorry that the photo's not great. It's a modern Stetson, in their 100x pure beaver grade felt, which has a nice feel to it. Where it falls down is that the sweatband is fabric, so I may well get that replaced by a leather one when I find a decent hatter...
