You could try BKS Leather, but it will cost you.
The made-to-measure side was never sold to Frank Thomas, and is still going. That's who supplied the police.
RatBikeJim, glad to hear that you're in one piece. And I'm very much in agreement about full face lids.
Rather than order another Lewis, I'd suggest having a chat to Crowtree, BKS, Hideout or Scotts, and get a proper set of leathers. Scotts do a copy of the Belstaff jackets that are cheaper...
Giles at Ironheart UK got a Half Belt with a brown gaberdine lining, and a Jan Solo leather strip.

I had a chat to Amanda about getting Aero to fabricate a fishtail parka in oil pull. She reckoned it would be around £800. There's a one-off trench coat on the Aero Japan site, so I'm sure that they could accommodate your wishes.
One problem with goat is that the skins will come up relatively...
The fabric isn't necessarily heavier. One of my pairs of Levi's is made from a 10 oz denim, whereas 12 oz might be typical. The difference is in the weave and the self edge. It's probably more a quality thing, or something that's nice to have in its own way.
I don't know if jeans will last...
Selvedge fabric is woven with an edge, often white with a red stripe, that stabilises the fabric without needing a separate seam. It's got a characteristic appearance, which you can see in these photos.
It costs more to weave, so tends to be used in better quality jeans.
I've got a...
I quite like the jacket precisely because it is unlined. I've gone through the linings in all the Aeros that I've owned, except for one which is looking a bit worn, so it's removing a point of failure.
If they shipped to the UK then I'd be very tempted. At $450 (under £300), it looks a decent...
Billykirk do a range of bags. I'm not sure what would fit your needs.
Whilst trying to find this brand (I forgot about it last night), I stumbled across the J Panther Luggage Courier Ruc, which looks quite nice.
From my list, the following would swallow a Macbook Pro 17":
Margaret Howell Postal Satchel. (The link in my post doesn't take you to the item description. Scroll down.)
Bill Amberg Soft Tote.
Piet Breinholm Last Bag.
If you want a laptop bag then take a look at Hard Graft. I've got an...
What's your budget?
The Merchant Fox sell the Avon Post Bag (£660) and Dart Messenger Case (£980).
Margaret Howell sells a gorgeous postal satchel, which is £650.
I'd like any of the above. I haven't seen the Merchant Fox bags, but I've been lusting after the Margert Howell bag for months...
Motolegends are selling a Spidi jacket that's allegedly inspired by the A2.
Err, they haven't got it quite right, have they. :D
Still, it's preferable to some of the Power Ranger kit, but not for me.
I've heard of highly packable silk anoraks being used in Alpine mountaineering, and what I can remember would match your description. They might have been rubberised to waterproof them.
I don't know anything else beyond that. Sorry.
If you want to clean the jacket up further then why not lose the seam at the waist band?
The Longshoreman has a one piece front, as does this Highwayman from Japan, which I posted the other day.
