All I know about the Crazy Horse was that it was tanned in gasoline, and that Aero acquired a very limited supply of it. From the translation given, it sounds as though it shifted colour over time.
I suppose if there was enough interest we could talk Horween into brewing up another batch...
I've got an enormous Aero Leather Cossack that's up for grabs if anyone's interested. It's a size 52 with an inch or two added. It's always been on the big side, but I'm about 10 kg (1 1/2 stones) lighter than when I got it, so it really drowns me now.
The jacket was modified to have a double...
Aero Leather Japan did a really nice Highwayman, which removes some of the panels, and looks more like a Longshoreman hybrid.
There are a few more shots in their gallery, and I think that it's one of the nicest jackets they've done.
Unfortunately Aero don't have any of that Crazy Horse...
I forgot that I had both a leather jacket and backpack in my wardrobe.
I'd agree with the comments that going for the double leather look is a bit too much.
The jacket's too big for me these days. It always was a bit large, but I've lost some weight recently, and now it really drowns me...
Yuketen sell a zipped canvas backpack in a variety of colours. Field tan is probably the easiest to live with.
But I rather like the orange.
Hypebeast have a picture of it in use.
End Clothing sell them in the UK, but they're expensive. The size is similar to the Seil Marschall...
Woolrich are doing a very nice canvas canoe pack, which I believe is made by Duluth. (Correction, Frost River.) Oki-ni have it in stock, but I suspect that you can find it cheaper elsewhere.
Edited to add: Redwing Amsterdam and Conrad Hasselbach carry it in sage, which looks better.
A couple more off Etsy:
A huge travel rucksack. More of a kit bag than a backpack. (I quite like this one.)
A more rustic leather backpack.
A dressier option. Made in Greece, so it'll help their trade balance.
A red linen or canvas vintage rucksack. Somebody buy this. :D
And a couple...
Griff, have you tried looking on Etsy at all? It's a source of far too many odd things like leather backpacks.
This one is up for sale next door to you in Sweden.
A couple more.
The Hugh rucksack by Ally Capellino. (£476 / $700)
And a grey patent leather backpack by French and English. (£195 /$300)
The Boris Bidjan Saberi Camping Bag isn't quite a rucksack, but it's different. And very, very, expensive. (£1000 / $1500)
The JW Anderson x Porter...
Tapering means removing some of the leather around the waist, so that the fit is a bit trimmer.
I find that a lot of British clothes in larger sizes are cut to accommodate a belly, so if you're a bit slimmer they hang badly. The A2 is (I believe) a boxy cut in any case.
If money is really no option then I'd take a look at Böle.

Their outdoor range includes several reindeer skin packs, starting at just under $1000.
I particularly like the Prince Rucksack, but it's somewhere around $3000 or $4000...
Something else...
I've got a feeling that goat skins don't come up that large (2' x 3' / 60 cm x 90 cm), and good leathers are made from fewer panels if possible. So that might be one limitation.
In terms of weight, my set of BKS Leathers, which make my Aero jacket feel light, and have double or even triple...
I used to wear a Hercules, and don't recall either the pocket flaps of buckles getting in the way.
I don't particularly like the side buckles myself, but that's more from aesthetics. The Cropduster (no longer on Aero's site) had elastic instead, and that might be a neater look.
Incidentally...
Lodger Shoes have recently been bought out by their sister company, Lutwyche, and the brand is being retired. They're currently having a clear out the remaining Lodger stock, so if you're after a new pair of shoes then take a look at the sale page:

Henry VIII was over six foot tall. I've heard everything from 6'1" to 6'3".
I agree with the sentiments on modern clothing. (I'm 6'3", 225 lbs.) I tend to take a UK XXL, which are generally cut for someone whose waist has similar circumference to their chest, and that's not a good look.
I'd...
I'm curious about this one, because I keep on getting tempted by the Reversible Waterfront jacket.
What's the buffalo check wool like? Durable? (I kill linings.) Warm?
I saw The Artist today, and enjoyed the film.
It's beautifully crafted, and I'd love some of the suits. But Uggie the Dog steals the show to the extent that he got a feature on the BBC News website!
