The extra time you spend getting ready because you wear vintage.
I grew up around beach culture and in a VERY humid environment and I never even batted an eye at flip-flops. They were just *thee* summertime shoe in these parts. I never knew there was such a hatred of them until I frequented here. Personally, I don't wear them, but to each her own :)- Amy Jeanne

Comments You Get When You Dress Vintage
Just a cute comment I get from time to time: "You remind me of the 50s!" lol I wasn't even wearing vintage clothing that day (jeans and girl-T) and I had my hair in a fingerwave. I guess my cat's eyes glasses are what does it :)- Amy Jeanne

How Much Jewelry Do You Wear?
I wear my fake pearls when the outfit calls for it. Other than that, nothing. I was never a fan of jewelry. I don't even wear a wedding ring -- mostly because it makes my hand break out :( I have 10 piercing holes in my ears (it was the 80s!!!) and I NEVER wear earrings. Again -- my ears...- Amy Jeanne

The actual act of dressing in the morning is the same if I wear jeans or one of my vintage dresses. I don't wear stockings or heels -- I'm more of a white socks and flat shoes kind of gal. Your favorite toys as a kid?
I was child of the 80s. As vintage as I get are my record albums. I loved them things! I wasn't much into toys -- records, cassette tapes, and players to play them on were my "toys" as long as I could remember. And headphones. I loved my headphones.- Amy Jeanne

I say wear it, too. You won't outshine the bride. I've worn all kinds of vintage concoctions to "normal" weddings and I've never, ever once felt I outshone the bride. It's really up to you and your comfort level, though :)- Amy Jeanne
