    Could you survive?

I do see tampons advertised in my old magazines quite a bit, but I think I'm going to ask my grandmother about them. That is one topic I haven't discussed with her, yet it's my most fascinated topic (and feared at the same time!) I see her on Sunday. I'll report back in the PR thread.....ok...

    Show us what you've made!

True, baggy busts look bad on me no matter what. I can't get any smaller than a 36C no matter how hard I diet. shakeshead But I *have* gained 20 lbs over the past two years and I'm really disappointed in myself. I don't like being over 145 and I'm currently 160 (I lost a few, yeay!) When...

Feminine hygiene is a big one for me. No thanks -- I'll do without those rubber protective aprons and panties you wore under your skirt. Just seems degrading to me...lol That stuff can STAY vintage.

Just yesterday I was saying how Jackie Cooper was "still alive." But he wasn't! RIP JACKIE.

    the morning routine

Wake up at 5:45am. Take dog for a jog. Make and eat breakfast. Shower/get dressed/put on makeup/fix hair. Make my lunch. Leave. Get to work and grab coffee. Work. On weekends I get up anywhere from 8:30 to 10:30. I hate getting up later than that, though, and make a point not to.

I have some scanned on my Flickr -- directly from 30s-60s magazines. Link is in the signature.

    Water for Elephants (2011)

My co-worker saw it and said it was horrific. I'm super-sensitive to animals being hurt, and she told me there was a lot of bad things being done to animals. I know they aren't really being hurt, but just the thought is enough to upset me.

    Need for Music?

YESSSSSS! Music addict ever since I can remember. My dad used to make my "mixtapes" when I was a wee gal and I would dance to them with those big 70s padded headhones with the coil cord lol These days, it's the iPod. I listen to it all day at work. As of this writing I have 8,153 songs in...

Another list of old professions making a comeback

Ok, because I was goint to say....there is a world outside their corporate office buildings! Where I'm from farming is big. There are butcher shops all over the place. So are barber shops. Evey strip mall has one.

    The Bickersons/Drene Time.

I would like to see The Naggers. I think I've heard of it before somewhere in my travels. Bickering husbands and wives can be either be funny or really annoying. As you said -- there is a fine line. The Bickersons, I gave them a second chance and found I did not like them. As a married...

    Show us what you've made!

I sewed this and I am totally unhappy with it. It might look nice on my dummy, but I made it too big for myself...even though I pinned it on me to fit before I sewed it. A belt brings in the baggy waist, but the baggy bust is awful. I'm a DD and I need busts to be fitted on me or else they...

Have you ever had a stranger photograph you...when you were dressed vintage?

YUP! One time in London my husband and I were walking along and some girl ran in front of us, snapped a picture, said "Thanks!", and ran off! We got a kick out of it! In the Cherry Hill Mall in NJ a couple college students stopped us to take our pictures. They said they were doing a...

    Rockabilly anyone??

I'm one of those vintage-y people whose heart belongs to the 20s-40s, but every now and again I like to dip my toes in the rockabilly pool! I actively listen to the music all the time, since it is one of the dominant genres in my iPod. But I don't always dress the part unless I get that...

    The Bickersons/Drene Time.

Well, if that's the point then I don't get it. Nor did I find it funny. As a woman, I just found it to be annoying shakeshead If there was a basis for her nagging (like Married With Children!) then I might have taken more to it. But since it was over nothing...meh. I listened to two...

    Show us your vintage patterns!

I haven't bought a pattern in SO LONG. Haven't sewn for a while, either. A 20-lb weight gain over this past year has prevented me from doing it. I am working on losing at least 10-15 so I can fit back into 18s. :( Meanwhile, I will just watch and drool here at FL.
