Thanks everyone. I have a Hanna and a Jonathan Richards. I'll try them next time it rains. Ed, I have an idea of getting Johnny to make me a cotton duck cap! I can talk to him about the fabric....
(going in sort of reverse order...)
David, wow, that Whippet is looking crisp and immaculate for a travel hat!
Bowlerman, the Arnold looks very good on you!
Mayser, that Hückel Chevreau color is rich and subtle, and the ribbon is super-class, wonderful!
Howard, I know what you mean about...
Wonderful day of hats everyone! I'll comment individually later! I've been trying a lot of my caps this week. Here is a tweed Stetson Hatteras.

Ted, I really like those "Bogart"-style fedoras. After your previous one from Northwest, I wrote to Mike but haven't heard back....

Thanks, everyone! Ed, that is a good point. I never thought about the crown shape and its effect on the perceived shape of the face like that, but it makes sense!

Here's one that I haven't yet worn. Stetson tweed Hatteras. In between period and skinny-modern... Good quality, but a grosgrain sweatband, totally not leather.

I'll spend some time over the weekend devouring this thread! A Stratoliner is my next vintage purchase! Can silverbelly in 7 1/8 be found?

Wow, what an amazing array! Maybe the most variety I've seen within a single day since I joined this wonderful hat forum!

Hit and run by me too, have to get to work....
This arrived in the same box from Damian - this time a vintage, apparently by "Fashion Deluxe." Damian did a great job re-blocking it. The brim is made of a stiff material that creases rather than bends. A previous owner seems to have creased it...
Tommy, yes, darts and pleats too. That was part of what appealed to me. I'll do some more photos for the Cap Faction later on this eve.....
Gorgeous Stratoliner!

GD, I really like that luminous silverbelly color.
Dale, great shot! My gray Dobbs is one of my favorite fedoras!
Richard, hefty cap, and you wear it well!
