Today for a hike, an unstylish anti-UV getup. Tilley Airflo w/ Oakleys, a camo bandana and a UPF jersey. Hoping to switch to something more stylish later!

AnA, your photo treatments really accentuate the hats' virtues. They look like the fine, classic hats they are, only moreso!

Charlie, I like variety and go from 4+ to under 1.25. But I admit, I tend to prefer brims a bit smaller than my derm is happy with! So I carry zinc-oxide sunblock with me every day. It goes on mostly transparent, or so I hope!
I agree with Mach, you look great in that deuce and a quarter.
Mach, that is a great Dunhill! The ribbon looks like a rep-stripe necktie!
Dale, that as-found-crease Stetson with boot-tips is the perfect combo and a great photo!
David, is that a gill-style bow on the Dove VS?
Mike, that cap is sharp! You and Man of Kent and Kenneth have me thinking about caps now. I don't have even a one!
Justin, I have to hand it to the vintage hats for that great broad ribbon. I don';t have too much experience sampling the felt...
Slacker, you wear that cap well! Looks really good. Getting your son into headwear as well!
Bowlerman, that era is that Resistol from? I like the wide ribbon!

Thanks for these suggestions! I have a buff and it's OK, but uncomfortably tight. This reminds me - I have a very good balaclava that is open for the whole face. I can use that and/or 180's!

I have several good A-2's and another one is bering made. What kind of hats would go with an A-2 or G-1? I'm not crazy about Fedoras with military flight jackets though I could give it a try. I used to wear military ball caps with these jackets. Any other suggestions?

Good idea, that sleek 180 shape!
I was thinking of a Woolrich or Pendleton jacket like that. I'm allergic to wool, but I'll give it a try. We've got a few stores in NYC where I can try these on.

Keeping the ears warm with fedoras in winter?
I live in NYC. On cold, windy days, my ears get the coldest. How do you keep the ears warm wearing a fedora? (My hat hobby began just this recent summer.) In past years, I'd wear a winter jacket w/hood (Carhartt, Canada Goose, U.S. Navy, etc.)...
Terry, your son wears it very well! Makes me want to see him in more!
Richard, to echo Mach, the shirt and hat rock!
