I love my Cav's crease and pinch. But I like a pork-pie too, and the skinny-trouser, skinny-tie rat-pack look. One look that goes with a low-crown and a stingy brim. I have a few Biltmore Milans with a diamond crown but no pinch. 1.5" brim, upturned, and low crown. I really like those hats...
B1ggles, it doesn't look too large at all! Reminds me of my Jonathan Richards, though I don't know if it's hand-woven tweed....

What a great rescue operation! Dead stock indeed - the label was still on the outside! BTW, what happens to that fabric in the rain?

Strapped, I like that 707 a lot! I'd like to see more angles at some point, like the crown, etc.
Charlie, I'm liking the proportions where the ribbon is about 1/2 the crown height. And the multifaceted combinations one can do with plaid!
Today, another recent arrival from Johnny, a Retro Sport.
Lefty, that shirt is wonderful too. Vintage or repro or ???
GD, yeah that crease is casual perfection!
Joao, love that big Stetson!
Perry, cool fuzzy hat with fuzzy tweed!
Crown shape original, I didn't shape it at all. What I like most is the pinch and crown. And the light, relatively thin felt that is velvety to the touch and also keeps its shape.

Dale, BC's are so cool! I never had any when I was in. My son came out of the Marine Corps a few years ago, and I've been trying to get him to keep his.
I once attended a 2-day class on the Emptiness teachings given by the Dalai Lama here in NYC. In my pre-hat days....
Cool Dobbs and shirt, Dale! Are the eyeglass frames vintage?

After ordering and wearing caps from Johnnie, Damian and Barry, it took all the fun out of retail caps. I'd heard other folks say this, and could only imagine what they meant. Now I get it!

This vintage from J.C. Penney, re-blocked by Johnny. Flushing, Queens in the background. Maybe the fastest-growing Chinese enclave outside of Asia. And we live at the very edge of downtown.

This one just in from Johnnie. It's a J.C. Penney vintage. Maybe Johnnie can fill in the era. I think he did a great blocking job. First time wearing a cap in the wind was today. It stays on the head!
