Awesome! If it makes it to the target date, future archaeologists will no doubt be baffled by the vast inventory of trinkets and household items. Probably concluding that they are ritualistic items used in primitive religious ceremonies. :tongue1:
Yeah I just saw that one last night. 400 more years to go,...hope the contract is fulfilled somehow, but it looks like the moths will consume most of it within the next 100 years.
I would have been the old square guy down the street that kept all my old fashioned art deco furnishings. Chairs that could actually be sat upon, shelves that would support books, appliances made of solid oak.
They could keep all their spindly-legged cheesy modern junk.
The majority of the...
Wow. Some really bizarre combinations of colors, textures and shapes came out in the fifties. Probably inspired in part by the then popular modern "art" craze. I'm glad i don't remember it.
I dunno. My dad had a 1958 Dodge that was very similar. I think it was those razor sharp tail fins that scared me. Not to mention the ominous, gaping - maw grill work, which looked poised to devour unsuspecting kids.
I agree on all counts. Redford just doesn't do anything for me at all. Even behind the camera as director his stuff is plain boring, yet everyone raves about his movies. He's not even a has been then.:(
Tombstone, 1993. Somewhat "Hollywoodized" for sure, but I checked on the major events portrayed and those were mostly true. A good cast and direction too.

:blah:I don't. It doesn't bother me to see absolutely EVERYONE else pecking away at their cellphone screens at lunchtime either, as if i were missing out on something??
So I've got until November 18th to sell off any and all collectables and vintage hats, etc. that I may find. Great. After that, expect to pay higher and higher prices for anything you might want to buy, and expect to see fewer and fewer unique antique or vintage items. Looks like Greedbay...
I admit I've found some cool things at decent prices as a buyer. But as a seller, I am always on the razor's edge trying to make some little bit of profit from things I find and resell, or the things I make and sell. One thing I learned though recently, is to always check the feedback that...
Netflix has a good stock of old shows like The Twilight Zone, Andy Griffith, and Leave it to Beaver. They all start with the first episode too, which is quite cool.
I heard tell that my grandparents on my dad's side were fairly well to do before the Great Depression hit. They owned a store and had at least a nanny to mind the kids. Then everything went south,..and I am NOT a department store heir now! :( Oh well, maybe in an alternate universe?
Yes it is a flagrant price gouge at best! Ebay likes to tout this as a "convenience" to sellers, but all it really is is another money generator for them. I am about to stop sending anything at all overseas now due to astronomical customs fees on top of the most recent massive postage increase...
