Maybe. The title seems to be 2 titles in one. Hill House,..and The Haunting. My memory might deceive me, but I still recall the title I saw at the drive in long ago as being just Hill House. Either way, the movie included some of the truly scariest film scenes ever. :eeek:
Yes I agree again. The overseas shipping gimmick is most heinous. And they try to make it look like a good deal! Really overstepping the bounds of common sense by charging would-be buyers domestic postage PLUS overseas postage for one item. It all just adds up in ebay's favor, and both the...
Etsy seemed rather lame to me,...and geared more toward crafts or something. Has it gotten any better in recent years? Last time I visited or sold anything there was maybe 2 years ago, and it was a less than satisfying experience. [huh]
Agreed! The first one I recall in recent days was the one where sellers can no longer leave negative feedback to wretched "buyers" who are never happy with anything, don't pay, or that make ridiculous claims. Every change that was made over the last few years was designed to make even MORE money...
Yep. A pin back would be better than a clutch back. Even better I think would be a clip that simply slides onto a hatband or through a lapel buttonhole or etc. Something that causes no damage at all as there are no sharp pointy parts.
Hmm,..that's nice, but would be even nicer if minted like a coin out of sterling silver. Might cost a hundred bucks but I'd get one.:D Maybe one of those die struck pins on the site, that would work I think.
I was raised on 60s TV, but as I got a little older the 70s happened and TV was absolutely dismal by comparison. I just stopped watching anything but an occasional PBS documentary, Saturday Night Live, or a decent movie then. Most everything on TV in the 70s was just cop shows or detective shows...
Me either. But I think it was started on behalf of knife makers of the world. :p After seeing this thread I am amassing a collection of steel from around the world.
The Haunting,...about the group of people that stays at a supposedly haunted mansion under the direction of a researcher. The scariest scene in film history I think was when they tried to sleep their first night there, and the poltergeist, (or whatever it was), went down the hall pounding on...
Beautiful wood on that one Renault. Nothing like a nice wood stock on a fine old rifle. The new fangled polymer stuff just leaves me cold. I always opt for wood on a firearm if it's available.
My sister still has our parent's old Frigidaire in her garage. Probably made in 1955 or so, and still going strong to this day. Old Tech is so much better than today's high tech sometimes.
I have to agree. In spite of having a good cast, it almost made me fall asleep. Tried to convince myself that it might not be a total loss, so I watched it all the way through even though it was excruciatingly boring.
Those are nice Renault. :eusa_clap I've been watching quite a few on ebay myself. Something along those lines will be my next purchase. Thinking of getting an Iisaakki Scout maybe or one of the two-fer sets of Finnish knives. Love that Finnish steel, beautifully crafted and practical too.
