This vintage N3A I got also has short sleeves, mainly because the elastic cuffs are old and do not extend fully. However, the body length is fine.

I’m on the fence, I want more opinions, it’s a little tight to button as well.

One thing I leaned the hard way over the years: if it doesn't fit, you won't be comfortable wearing it. And being able to fasten it closed doesn't mean it fits. For me the overall impression is it's too short and too tight - I'd get rid. First, though, take a note of where this one falls short and its measurements and labelled sizing, as that will help a lot in tracking the right one down.

Aside from being too tight, the length of the body looks like it would be fine with a trouser that sits on your natural waist. Ideal sleeve length can be subjective, of course, but to my eye these look significantly too short by as much as maybe four inches. (I like my sleeves on an outerwear jacket to hit across my knuckles with arms straight down; YMMV.)

That one looks more borderline to me. The body length isn't noticeably short, so it *might* be saveable if you wanted to go to the expense of having the knits removed and replaced. I'd be very sure you think that would solve the issue first, though, as you may or may not recoup your additional outlay if you do decide to resell.

I love that parka. Are the sleeves really that egregious?

Yeah but you're asking for fit opinions on the internet from strangers, take them with a grain of salt. If you'd ask on reddit you'd probably get the typical cheerleading there and happily wear it onward.
I find the opinions here to be pretty accurate most of the time.

Compare to the sleeves of the Iron Heart Deck Jacket.
