To be charitable to Matt, I think he's said he has lost weight since that photo was taken. So he really was wider--it's not just an illusion created by the clothes. :) -

Brooks Brothers dress for success
And if you do shop at the outlets, look for stuff that doesn't have "346" in big numbers on the tag--just the Brooks Brothers script logo. You'll sometimes find it, especially on the clearance racks.- Orgetorix

Suits in Teheran - Maybe Not
That's right. These suits were given to them after they were let out of their cells. I doubt they even took their measurements. We shouldn't be surprised at the poor quality or expect the Iranians to have given them anything different. Sorry, but your observation simply doesn't apply... -
What would you bid on this?
Do you already have a suit or sportcoat that fits you well? If not, go to a thrift store and try on jackets until you find one that feels good. Doesn't matter what quality it is, you're just looking for a baseline to help with measurements. Once you have a jacket that fits, look at this... -
