I think it also helps being an adult. You get to a certain age where you start caring less about what other people think and start getting your own sense of style. Kids/teenagers on the other hand can be very cruel when it comes to anyone who looks 'different'.
I don't know what the deal is, but every time I hear any song's from ABBA, it gets stuck in my head for a week or two. Last week, out on the boat, we were blasting, 'take a chance on me'...darn thing's been stuck ever since  I'll find myself humming it out loud at stores sometimes..people...
I've found that to be true with other foods as well. As an adult I've come to actually like my veggies:rolleyes: What's also kind of weird is that I can't seem to tolerage big amounts of candy at the same time..as a kid, I could practically live on charoleston chews, reeces pieces, ect. Now...
I would only consider myself a participant if I was dressing along with the crowd myself. Not to get argumental, but, I am seeing a shift in the need to be overly thin trend. It is starting to become rare seeing a teenage girl who needs to gain weight! on one side, this is great, but, I also...
agree...though I wish the quality was there. I did go to an outlet mall awhile back and found some really cute vintage inspired dresses for really cheap..but also, the fit wasn't all that bad either..I"ve got the pics, just gotta remember to post them soon!
I have been seeing a lot more vintage 'inspired' clothing in stores lately. But still see more of the g-string showing, type outfits :( The bad thing I've noticed about some of these vintage inspired outfits, is that they just don't fit like real vintage clothing [huh]
With all this talk of dark chocolate, I decided to go out and try a different brand. Dove makes a great dark chocolate bar..I love it cause it still has that creamy texture that I love:)
the only time I felt like I had to wear something was when I was a little girl and mom made me put on a dress  :D
In this country, I don't see any 'fear' factor that would go into anybody's head about dress attire. I see just about every kind of fashion statement there is and really...
homeschooling has become very popular around here as well. Many of my friends are opting for it instead of public.
Wildroot, one thing I've wondered is, with being homeschooled, did it effect how you socialized with other kids/people? The reason why i ask is because my friends kids seem pretty...
Vanessa, those dresses, ah, excuse me, mumuus..are beautful! When I think of a mumuu...I think of this tent of a dress like was mentioned before, only 500 pounders wear, or really old ladies who opt for comfort over fashion. This is huge with me...having both grandma's that dress absolutely...
well, some good news...tag is still allowed in private schools :)
I really believe competetion is good for kids. Plus, remembering playing tag when I was a youngster, it was great excercise. Just one more reason why my kids will not be going into the public schools:rolleyes:
:eusa_clap Bella, great blouse! I love the colors, print....everything!:D
lady day, that's a great outfit also..btw: how long did it take you to learn to sew? I finally got my first sewing machine a week ago, still haven't gotten around to actually using it yet  :)
That's what I found annoying about drinking caffinated beverages before bedtime is that, you may feel tired, but you'll just toss and turn all night because of the 'buzz':(
What makes me swoon is a man who has a short hair cut, with some grey at the temples..or even throughout. What I also have always loved is a goatee on a man.
A good cologne will always turn my head. Mix that with wearing a 3 piece suit, and you've got one hot man!
And another thing about getting a teensy bit older is that the teeny bopper clothes just don't look quite right on ya anymore! Unless you are going for the 'hey I'm 40yrs old...lookin' for a 20 something boyfriend' ;)
I love how classy it makes me feel and the compliments and nods of approval...
