Yesterday coming home from work. Saw a guy in his early 20's wearing a Walmart special with a black t-shirt and bright blue shorts with white flowers on them that were a few sizes too big. I threw up a little in my mouth. *yucky* At least the shorts weren't hanging around his knees though...
Any hat is what you want it to be. I've worn my Feds (brown and moonstone) with jeans, tshirt and a denim jacket. But like others have said if it appears too formal then a Campdraft might fit the bill. Personally I found that when I wear my hats I tend to dress a little better, like collared...
Don't know about the green one, but I've had the fawn for two years now and it's the only hat I wear in the summer months. If you are wanting the fawn or grey, Hats Direct could have it to you in a couple weeks.
How quickly the time has gone. But the one good thing is that everytime I see this thread that he started, I think of him and smile. So even though he has moved on, his memory is always on the Lounge.
:D
LOL Actually in moonstone I own a Stylemaster (from Everything Australian) and a Fed IV (from Hats Direct). I just like the Sydney and would absolutely love it in moonstone.
And Duper, I have several hats in green and brown is just too Indy.
Don't know about the Borsalino, but I do have the Sydney and the only negative comment I have is that it only comes in those two colors! If they ever make it in moonstone I may have found my perfect hat! Until then I'll just continue enjoying the charcoal. Good luck with your decision, but if...
Personally I would go for the Fed IV. Currently I have a Moonstone Fed IV and a Blue Grass Green Campdraft. The Fed IV is my go to hat and it definitely get more wear than the Campdraft which for me at least, is a little too wide in the brim. I like the Fed IV so much that I'm currently...
My BG Camp Draft came in today. Actually I met the mailman at the box and he just smiled and asked if I was waiting for something. By now he's gotten used to me having hats showing up. Anyway, I agree with jkingrph in that it was a bit darker than I thought it was, but it is a really nice...
Well the wait wasn't as long as I thought. Just got an email from Everything Australian that the CD was shipped this morning. So hopefully some time in the next 10 days it should be in my grubby hands.
Well after reading about how great the Campdraft is for quite awhile, I just pulled the trigger on a Blue Grass Green one. Hopefully it's still in stock. Now the waiting begins LOL
The sad part about this is that except for the changes that were being requested, Stetson wouldn't have lost anything. Major Moore already was going to buy them once they met his standards. Cha-Ching! Ready money in Stetson's pocket. Plus there would have been buyers for it. And just maybe...
Shows how much "fashion sense" this columnist has. Using the runaway open crowned look because he probably doesn't know better and then talking about using a discontinued model. Hopefully people like this will quit lending a hand to those of us that always wear hats.

PS: There...
Ahh, another wonderful day. The sun was shining, the birds were singing... or maybe not. Here's a picture of me any my Bailey fur after coming in from the rain.
Boy I'm glad I don't have your dilemma! I'd say take at least one shorter brimmed hat along with the Camp Draft for diversity. The good part is that no matter what felt you take along, at least it will be in the winter months so you'll get more use out of them... it cools down to what - the...
Like others here have stated, the brim up just doesn't work for me. I end up looking like a Red Skelton character. But my teenage son can pull off the brim up and looks good doing it. I think it has to do with face structure. I'm a bit fuller in the face than he is.
