What Hat Are You Wearing Today 1?

A baseball cap... Turned sideways of course.

    Ralph Lauren's idiotic PRE-DISTRESSED fedora

I think I can find whimsy for a lot less than $495 LOL :eeek:

    Ralph Lauren's idiotic PRE-DISTRESSED fedora

Darn I thought someone had finally decided to make a copy of Johnny Depp's distressed fedora. I was just about to take the money I'm saving for the FL Stetson and rush right over the the Ralph Lauren site. Whew dodged that bullet! :pound:

    Falcon Park Hattery

Yes, I'd say it was worth the wait. Beautiful choices in the hat color and contrasting ribbon! :eusa_clap:eusa_clap:eusa_clap

    Woman wearing Hats

Not in my household. Why you ask? Because my wife always (and I mean always ) looks good in a hat no matter what kind it is. So no she's not allowed to wear one. ;)

    Post New Hats Here!

Is that one of those black powdery Stetson I hear about that get pink spots when in the rain?

    Richard Chamberlain's "Allan Quatermain" hat

Although it's not the exact same hat, the last couple of pics remind me of the Akubra Adventurer as sold by Everything Australian (not the one sold by David Morgan). Check it out, maybe that will fit your needs. You're on your own on the hatband though! LOL

    Woman wearing Hats

Strange, when I looked (and replied) from another computer, the pictures were about a quarter of the size they are on my home computer. So of course now it is easier to see that the first one was a Stetson... :p

    Woman wearing Hats

Hmmm it's really hard to make out what brand of hat they are wearing in such small pictures...

    Fedorafest III Stratoliner from Stetson

The same here. Usually when I'm wearing my Akubra Fed IV. In May I had 3 different people ask where they could get a hat like mine. When they found out it was from Australia I could tell that it was a lost sell. I'd love to be able to give them something here in the states as an address. As...

    Fedorafest III Stratoliner from Stetson

I second (or third, fourth, fifth) that. I think it's going to be a wonderful hat that anyone who buys is going to count among their favorites. I'm just hoping the price doesn't take it out of my league... Having said that, here's some changes I'd like to see incorporated into this hat...

When Will You Be Done Buying Hats?

 :pound:  Ahh I used to think like that at one time. Now I'm thinking "maybe" I'll be done when I have a hat for each day of the month. Of course I shudder to think what's after that. And yes, except for a bowler, I do rotate through all of them each month!

    The Curse of Indiana Jones

:eusa_clap:eusa_clap:eusa_clap Well said (and pretty funny too) Personally I've only needed to reply once and I used a comment that I read here at the Lounge: "We named the dog Indiana," which got laughs all round.

    Post New Hats Here!

New (to me) Stetson Below is my newest acquisition. Now normally I don't post new hats here, but this one is special. Why is is special you ask? Well, I'll tell you... First of all, the brim is all wrong. It's almost 2 and 3/4 inches wide. I like em 2 1/2" at most. It's a bound...

    Fedorafest III Stratoliner from Stetson

Okay, I was on the fence with this one, but after hearing how good it is and especially after seeing this picture, I'm in for a 7 1/2 if the price can be kept around $150 - $175 range. :D

(KNIVES) Let's see some sharp pointy objects

Years ago I read an article where the author said that he loved carrying pocket knives and carried one for each day of the week. Needless to say I liked that idea and that's the way I carry pocket knives to this day. As I find something new, knives are rotated out, but here is my current...

    Keith Richard's fedora

Yeah I'd like to be able to do the things he's done and live to that age... well maybe not snorting my dead father's ashes, but still. :eeek:

Return of the Broad Brimmed Hat

I can understand that one completely. Last fall I saw a gentleman in slacks, leather shoes, an expensive looking trench coat topped off with... you guessed it, a baseball cap. I have hope that maybe when he saw me in my Stetson, a light bulb went on. Probably not though. :D

Input on Quality and Fit of Less Expensive A-2 Jackets

As far as the Cooper A-2's go I'd look for one at least one and possible two sizes larger. I wear a 44R and have a 46 that is good for with a T shirt underneath. Plus the sleeves pull up short when I reach for something. So a 48 may be in my future.

    JFK's Cavanagh

I really like those pics of JFK and his hat(s). Especially the one in the presidential box at a game. I also like the last two photo's where it shows the difference in generations, meaning the wider brim vs the stingy. Excellelnt photos FedoraFan112390!
