Darn I thought someone had finally decided to make a copy of Johnny Depp's distressed fedora. I was just about to take the money I'm saving for the FL Stetson and rush right over the the Ralph Lauren site. Whew dodged that bullet!

Not in my household. Why you ask? Because my wife always (and I mean always ) looks good in a hat no matter what kind it is. So no she's not allowed to wear one.
;)
Although it's not the exact same hat, the last couple of pics remind me of the Akubra Adventurer as sold by Everything Australian (not the one sold by David Morgan). Check it out, maybe that will fit your needs. You're on your own on the hatband though! LOL
Strange, when I looked (and replied) from another computer, the pictures were about a quarter of the size they are on my home computer. So of course now it is easier to see that the first one was a Stetson...
:p
The same here. Usually when I'm wearing my Akubra Fed IV. In May I had 3 different people ask where they could get a hat like mine. When they found out it was from Australia I could tell that it was a lost sell. I'd love to be able to give them something here in the states as an address. As...
I second (or third, fourth, fifth) that. I think it's going to be a wonderful hat that anyone who buys is going to count among their favorites. I'm just hoping the price doesn't take it out of my league...
Having said that, here's some changes I'd like to see incorporated into this hat...
 :pound:
Ahh I used to think like that at one time. Now I'm thinking "maybe" I'll be done when I have a hat for each day of the month. Of course I shudder to think what's after that.
And yes, except for a bowler, I do rotate through all of them each month!

Well said (and pretty funny too)
Personally I've only needed to reply once and I used a comment that I read here at the Lounge: "We named the dog Indiana," which got laughs all round.
New (to me) Stetson
Below is my newest acquisition. Now normally I don't post new hats here, but this one is special.
Why is is special you ask? Well, I'll tell you...
First of all, the brim is all wrong. It's almost 2 and 3/4 inches wide. I like em 2 1/2" at most. It's a bound...
Okay, I was on the fence with this one, but after hearing how good it is and especially after seeing this picture, I'm in for a 7 1/2 if the price can be kept around $150 - $175 range.
:D
Years ago I read an article where the author said that he loved carrying pocket knives and carried one for each day of the week. Needless to say I liked that idea and that's the way I carry pocket knives to this day. As I find something new, knives are rotated out, but here is my current...
I can understand that one completely. Last fall I saw a gentleman in slacks, leather shoes, an expensive looking trench coat topped off with... you guessed it, a baseball cap. I have hope that maybe when he saw me in my Stetson, a light bulb went on. Probably not though.
:D
As far as the Cooper A-2's go I'd look for one at least one and possible two sizes larger. I wear a 44R and have a 46 that is good for with a T shirt underneath. Plus the sleeves pull up short when I reach for something. So a 48 may be in my future.
I really like those pics of JFK and his hat(s). Especially the one in the presidential box at a game. I also like the last two photo's where it shows the difference in generations, meaning the wider brim vs the stingy. Excellelnt photos FedoraFan112390!
