    Windward Goatskin Halfbelt (New Acquisition)

Very nice vintage jacket, I very much like this style. I seem to have an expanding jacket collection that will see very little wear as well, but isn’t this what collecting is all about? Can I suggest don’t be too hasty when selling, you may have regrets later on? But then again you could...

    Hello and Aero Hercules request

Firstly I would say go with Aeros recommendation. The LHB (I believe) should not fit as snug as an A2. I am just under 41” in the chest relaxed and My Aero LHB fits more like a 42 although it is tagged 40. I could wear a 38 in this jacket but I am happy that the LHB is roomier, as I...

    Hello and Aero Hercules request

Yes it’s FQH in brown. It is a bit waxy which I personally like. It can feel cold to the touch. I find it's warm and comfortable to wear; especially now it has softened. James.

    Plane Crazy WW II A-2's

When I put on my ELC or Aero A2s or any of my repros, I think of the person who made it, the work and research put into it and the fact that is a hand made product. Most people won’t notice any of this, but I know. Having said that my pals £25. EBay Banana Republic A2 esque jacket looks...

    Hello and Aero Hercules request

Hi Alex, I’m sure you won’t be disappointed with the Hercules. Not a Hercules, but here is my LHB after a few months wear. James.

    Buzz Rickson Perry A2 (pics)

Great colour on that A2. Fit is good too. Looks like a tough jacket, I Like it. The cuff knits look longer than most don’t you think? Maybe a Buzz Rickson trait? James.

    Highwayman cinch straps

This is my LHB. It’s as received from Aero, not sure your strap is long enough to double back like this. It has never slipped. Roller on other side as well Hope this helps in some way James.

Do I need to put any protectant on a new aero B3, or should I just wear it as is?

Eastmans recommend treatment about once a year. And up to 2 or 3 times a year only if it gets wet regularly. Looking forward to the photos of this ‘special’.

IRVIN NUTS?...the ULTIMATE thread for those who love 'em!

Yes you are quite correct, I also have a 70s ALC and A mid 30s IAC. I am so pleased with the Original Irvin, although it’s a bit fragile now it has such a patina! Real history! Next will be a mid war Irvin. Shame that one on eBay was withdrawn. Perhaps I shall wait until the summer and...

Latest Vintage Jacket for my collection

Jacket now arrived. I was bought for about £166. But then shipping from Canada £48 (crikey) and then import vat £8.94 and then Royal Mail Handling fee £13.50!! Over £70 to get it to England. No bargain and £236 total sounds a lot, but then its a wearable...

IRVIN NUTS?...the ULTIMATE thread for those who love 'em!

Smithy, I had the Aero made with a smaller collar so it won’t flap about as I intend to use it on my old motorbikes. Well spotted! I’m sure we have plenty of cold days to come. James.

IRVIN NUTS?...the ULTIMATE thread for those who love 'em!

Eastman and Aero Irvin comparison My new 42 pattern ELC Irvin arrived today so I have taken some comparison pictures with my Aero Irvin. Although the Aero is the Pre-war pattern and the ELC a 42 pattern they are both almost exactly the same colour, except the fleece of course. The Aero...

    Irvin jacket disappearing from e-bay

I saw this jacket as well, I had just logged on to make a bid only to find it had been taken off. It did seem to be all there and in great condition. The only thing was that the label said a size 4 but breast 47 and waist 46?? But it measured 23” under the arms. What would have...

    Aero 1930's Halfbelt, just arrived

That is one fine looking jacket. I particularly like the back yoke seam. Aero surely are the king of the utility jacket? James.
