Try paypal anyway. Explain the situation. They may still be able to do something.
Paying in full for a custom hat in advance is standard procedure. Ignoring you is not.
Something else you could try, using Paypal, is the "request money" feature. Basically, bill him for the amount you...
The only other time I've been in Boston, I stayed just off Coolidge Corner, at Brookline Manor Inn... but their number seems to be disconnected. :( I liked the place.
I'll look into the places suggested so far. Keep the ideas coming.
My entry, a day late. But what they heck...

Can't figure out why this site suddenly won't let me post the actual images! :eusa_doh: It was fine until last week!
I would have to agree with skipping the hat as a pall bearer. Since that duty begins inside the church, it would be bad form to put the hat on inside before lifting the casket. That alone rules out the hat. The only exceptions I can think of are military, police, and fire/rescue funerals...
I don't know if this is the place for my post, so I apologize if I messed up.
I am looking into heading up to Boston for a weekend, probably mid-May, and could use some advice and info on a couple of things.
My main concern is finding a nice place to stay that isn't very expensive, so as...
With that sizing, it was probably meant to be a woman's hat. But that's not surprising, since I've seen many men's vintage style hats (and jackets too) targeted at women first nowadays. Sometime only to women. :( I've even seen the Newsboy sold exclusively as a woman's hat. :eusa_doh...

Welcome to the Lounge!
Well, congrats, Bill. I was watching and rooting for you.
I'm actually proud of myself for not jumping into this one. Those Trinities are like drugs for me. Maybe that's why I couldn't sleep last night - withdrawal! lol
That looks insanely comfortable, Cowboy. I have two linens on their way to me right now. It's nice to see how the linen will drape... if drape is really the right word. :p
I don't know where mageemm stands on this, but I have to say; Tilley's may do their job, and very well, but they are not for everybody. I have yet to find one I'd want to be seen wearing. I know, utility should come first. But when dignity can had by way of a slight compromise... [huh]
My height and weight are similar to yours, Pilgrim, but I'm built bigger. A 46 would be a sausage skin on me! lol
That darker jacket looks like a cross between an A2 and G1. I like it. I'm also jealous of the "too big" collar. That is a luxury I have never had. Even as a skinny kid, my...
Fortworthgal and Carter - Good stuff. Does it look silly or puffy when the jacket is open? I avoid cloth jackets with an elastic waist because often they just make me look bigger and puffier, especially when left open. Does the weight of the leather eliminate that problem?
