Usually when out for a meal I have to stop the waiters from kindly hanging up my jacket and then they just look bemused as I roll it up and shove it under the table.
I think Fanch was absolutely correct to push for the longer sleeves, as although they might be longer than the standard look created by the designer, the sleeves look absolutely right for Fanch.
He's now wearing a jacket that fits well everywhere and looks bang on for him, rather than a...
My understanding was that Alex1976 had bought an Aero through the third party mentioned in his quote and that the mail copied here was that third party's response to a query about the hide.
The "other" thread appears to have been deleted now, possibly as a result of Alex1976's...
Fantastic fit, Fanch. Knowing the issues you've had with sleeve lengths from some of your other posts, I'm glad you've now got exactly what you wanted, and that it works so well. The vintage black was a great choice too, as I love the shiny yet slightly worn quality mine has.
Now you've got...
Hi again John. I guess it's close to my heart in that I have a direct interest in this.
I took an iffy HWM down to Aero to be checked out and Ken and 2 or 3 of his team had to have a real close look and feel to confirm it was a hybrid, but the main way they wanted to confirm it was by...
John, you may have seen my comment on the current thread (forget which) about weights. I did that in the knowledge of the straw poll on the main steer thread where, based on a number of actual weights offered, it looked like 2.5kg/5.5lbs was a reasonable benchmark for a 40/42" short FQHH...
For what it's worth, and similar to Frank, my LHB came out all wrong, but that was under the previous regime where mods were allowed regardless of aesthetics. I was so unsure of it that I didn't take any pics of me wearing it and traded it in a month later. One thing that didn't work for me...
I had two Mediums and two Larges, with one of the Mediums being the largest of all and a Large being the smallest of all.
If it's thinner than the Panther, then it'll be the summer weight. Also, the summer weight tends to have a satin lining as opposed to the cotton tartan.
Looks very good on you. Is that their "summer-weight" leather?
What I like about Belstaff is that the sleeves are always a good long length, although they notoriously undersize the chest by one or even two sizes.
Good choice, Jaguar. I'm sure you'll love the jacket, as the only issue I had was the the sleeves were an inch shorter than I specified. Ken kindly agreed to give me a rebuild and I'm now the proud owner of an identical one with 1" longer sleeves.
Now that Aero are charging for mods, you've...
Hi tkoy. As Fanch says, jump at the chance to go down yourself. A visit is worth 10 phone calls and emails and you might even find something you like better.
Thanks for that link, Dav. Looks like I was on holiday when those pics were posted, so I missed them first time round. Good to see more Teamster pics.
Maybe it's just me, but I've only just noticed that Aero are now charging for tartan linings and inner pockets. With the leather hem, that...
I'm ok with small breast pockets as my wallet is only a 4-slot credit card holder with a few notes, so has virtually no bulk. I couldn't buy a jacket with open hip pockets and no zipped pocket, inner or outer, which is what puts me off some off-the-racks, like the Aero Pioneer.
