Aero should confirm the standard back length difference, but my understanding was that a 40" Stockman was about 3.0-4.0" longer than the Teamster.
My 40" Teamster is 28.5 long, but I asked for that so don't know the standard length for that size, which may possibly be 0.5-1.0" shorter. My...
Bob, I examined your Stockman pics in great detail before ordering mine, so thanks for posting back then. Hope your concerns got resolved, one way or another.
I think the Stockman pic here is more the way a Teamster should look and fit, but whatever floats your boat.
S-J, the second pic is a Stockman, which is normally considered a car coat. I think it's fair to say that the Insurrection guy likes 'em tight, if you look at his other pics. I err on the side of roomy and my Stockman looks totally different on me.
persnick, I think you've got the wrong end of the stick. Aero's a much safer company to deal with now following the management change.
I'd have no worries at all in dealing with them, unless you don't like the idea of getting sucked into their evil web of making more than one top-notch jacket...
I got mine here https://www.silvermans.co.uk/ProductDetails/tabid/89/Department/Military/Category/JACKETS+++SMOCKS/Description/SCHOTT+NAVAL+DARK+WOOL+PEACOAT/ItemId/3429/CurrentPage/0/Default.aspx
It's a nice warm jacket, but I didn't like the way the vent at the back stuck out, so I sold it...
The Teamster seems to be picking up in popularity, which is good as it's my favourite. Will we be seeing pics? No two seem to look the same on people, strangely.
I'm sure you're not knocking our Scottish summers any more. Since I got my first Aero in May, almost literally the only days I've...
That was written by our very own Sloan. He linked to it in another thread somewhere.
I don't see Ken as being the Hollywood tie-in type though, but you never know.
Like Sloan and quite a few others on this board, I've visited the Aero factory a number of times, had the tour and met a number of the names we all recognise from this board.
It's fair to say that this only makes me feel more enthusiastic about them and their products, as it's obvious...
IH will be as much an unwitting victim as anybody else, unknowlingly passing on potentially dodgy goods. All they need to do is send the questionable jackets back to Aero for examination and then it's up to Aero to sort out the mess. No doubt IH will have been in touch with other potential...
I actually found Alex's contribution enlightening, despite the misplaced invective. Aero must have appreciated it, even if it costs them more than the usual compensation for replacing steer (assuming he ever gets his property back).
It's another part of this soap opera that I'm interested...
John, no I didn't know Pat, but she looks like someone on TV, so I thought she was maybe a celebrity, your girlfriend/wife or maybe even Lydia. Sounds like there was a lot of fun stuff going on down there at that time anyway.
Very interesting story, John. I take it that's you in the MoS pic? Who's that you're with?
It's nice to see the full circle of life for your jacket, now it's back with its maker. This just proves that Aero jackets are so much more than a piece of hide or material.
Bob, I totally understand your concerns and that you've come to this late, but Aero have been flat out on this since it was announced over a month ago. The staff have gone on 7 day working to deal with this problem and the backlog. I'm a victim too, awaiting resolution, but I don't begrudge...
Last I saw weights were mentioned after someone had just come across the big story and started asking reasonable questions. Don't know if anything else cropped up.
Hmmm... It's been "cleansed".
