My Teamster's 28.5, but I see a used same 40" up for sale at 27. I think Fanch's 42 is 28.5.
I think this is another variable measurement, so you'll only get a definitive answer from Aero.
I think it looks great, especially the sleeves. But if you're not 100% happy, then best to send it back and get exactly what you want.
Hope that's not a 12 month wait now, though.:)
Heiko, you're fairly new to the board, or you'd know that Sloan is simply an enthusiastic amateur (like so many, including myself) who is able to use his location to visit the factory, speak to the players themselves and judge for himself as to their integrity.
If you ever get the chance...
To me, knowing about, and being a small part of, the trials and tribulations of one of the companies discussed on this board makes it that bit more "real" and interesting.
I could buy a perfectly serviceable jacket from M&S and think no more about it, but thanks to this board I (and many...
If anything, I'd say it was a cross between a shortened Mariner and a Teamster, then modded some more. Possibly even a test pattern for a new design.
It would be interesting to get Aero's thoughts on it, but it'll be from before Ken and Holly's return.
Worf, it looks real good on you, but I can't see any likeness at all to a Veste de Rallye, not even heavily modded. It looks pretty unique, and not in a bad way.
Shame about the sleeves, but you're getting away with it by rolling them up. Another good buy.
Remembering that Aero have now moved to a minimal-modifications model, you have some little details there which may or may not be possible or appreciated - 8" pocket depth, differing pocket linings. I'm not sure that olive gabardine is even an option now, and if it is it will probably be at...
At least you have the satisafction of knowing you're buying more and better quality jackets (more ethically) for a lot less each.
Two Belstaffs would get you 3 Aeros, which is the trade I made and I'm a lot happier for it. :)
As for the bleeding cordovan, my hybrid bled, but my pure-bred Stockman doesn't. I don't remember any recent complaints either, so maybe that problem's gone away, like so many others.
I never understood why it seemed to only ever apply to cordovan, when presumably all hides are tanned the...
As Fanch says, go with what Holly says, as they'll be working to that pattern size.
There's no guarantee that that other people haven't had adjustments to the pattern, possibly even without their knowledge, knowing what we know now about the previous regime. There was someone on recently saying...
I'd have a think about your tartan weights. The standard lightweight is plenty thick enough for wearing, whereas I think the medium is better suited to rugs/blankets and the heavy to kilts (or vice versa). I can't imagine wearing a heavy lining and it would surely reduce the usable temperature...
Edward, the Trickers are the heaviest shoes I've ever known, other than hiking boots. Solid is putting it mildly, but really well put together. They're really in-yer-face but I like them so much I'm keeping my eye open for some of Trickers other retailer-specific colourways. They seem to do...
persnick, my great might not be yours, but I have these two:

The shoes are very solid indeed and a huge leap in quality from similar leather soled burgundy Grensons...
Talking about Aero's painful lead times, someone mentioned on another thread that you might be able to bypass that by buying through Insurrection, as they have a close relationship with Aero.
It's even better, Sloan.:) Thanks to our lovely summer, I've actually worn FQHH pretty much every day since getting my first in May, other than a holiday in the sun. I don't have storm cuffs though, but they would definitely have reduced the wearing time when it was warmer.
I suppose there has...
I now keep leather soles for dry days only. I got my first decent leather soled pair about 15 months ago, wore them for a week's solid walking in NYC (miles every day) including in rain, put them away for a month when I got back then found that one sole was completely split open.
I sent them...
Frank, I believe Dav's longer coat is the Cheyenne. I think the main difference is that the Stockman has patch pockets, whilst the Cheyenne has also handwarmer chest pockets.
Here's a Teamster pic, with a stranger who wandered into shot :)
